ZWOW #1 Time Challenge
Hi Warriorz,
This was my first Zwow ever. It is a time challenge which means that your goal is to complete this workout as fast as you can by just pushing through each exercise and taking minimum breaks in between. This workout took me 24 minutes and 3 seconds. That was in January 2012 right after a long break from working out and paying attention to my diet. So this was me not being in the best shape. It’s important to realize that once you fell off the wagon, it will take some time to catch up so you have to be patient with yourself. Once I became more consistent with my workouts and went slowly back to healthy eating habits, I felt great again in just a few weeks.
I did this workout once more – ZWOW #30 – to beat my time which the whole purpose of these time challenges. You always try to beat your old score even if it’s just by 10 seconds. This way you push yourself hard each time and avoid plateau in your training. My new time for this workout is 17 minutes and 40 seconds.

Woah I'm out of shape too! After 31 min, I've managed to complete 3 rounds and I look like a zombie that just got headshot. I'll be back for more.
I can't believe it... i did it in 23:31 min. ITS CRAZY! Now im soaking wet and so relieved i got this WO out of the way... today was a hard one for me, but i did it and this means i can have my almonds tonight! :D

I did this workout today in a military gas mask... it was brutal training but I got there in 38 minutes. The sweat keep getting in my eyes - wearing the gas mask was like a sauna for my face! On Sunday I will do a 14km fun run in Sydney while wearing a military gas mask to raise funds and awareness for Legacy (they support families of our deceased veterans in Australia). the first time that i did it my time record was about 46 min. XD but at the xxx was 18 min. it was fantastic :)

Glad your site is up :) Nice Blog post today - I gave up on cooking for anyone because of how choosy, closed, and therefore critical my past relationships were. my current jack of all trades loves to cook, but I have been unemployed since July, and felt useless as well as insecure about the "rambo" food I would prepare for myself...his support and the boost he provided has gotten me to the point that I am completing week 3 of cooking meals for us, and prepping him delicious, healthy and varied lunches for work, which his McDonald's shoveling coworkers on the commercial plumbing site drool over (as well as question his vitamin use, and water chugging...) - he doesn't give a shit, we're getting better at working as a team, developing the trust we both lost from our previous relationships. He's on his way home now from night shift (I decided to keep the same hours of his occasional night shift so that there is a candlelit dinner ready :) Looking forward to tomorrow's Zwow! xxo
New to ZWOW w/o,needed a change I have to say these w/o are very intense heart rate was up.Question ZWOD #1 ect are these done for one week until you beat your time or do you go to ZWOD # 2 the next day? What is your recommendation? I very much enjoyed the workouts.
OK so I answered my own question on how often to do your workouts you have a new one every week duh. Like I said I'm new and learn as I go.
I gave it a go 2 rounds my time was 19:58. THis was tough I havent worked that hard in awhile Thanks ;-
Did it yesterday, 17:58. Whew! Good workout! Had done 43-45, now starting back at 1. I really enjoy this new site, thanks!

I'm a beginer and i did it just a first part for 10 minuts and I am dieing. Want but can not do any more... Hope in some time I can come back to WOD#1 and do it all! Thank U Zuzka!!!
I did this workout today it took me 26 min it was hard and intense look forward to Zwow # 48. :)
Been injured since September... Doctors told me not to do ANY workouts so basically i've eaten decently with no physical fitness since... I finally said "to hell with it" and did this workout (modifications of course) but made it in 22:07. 1/2 of the burpees I stepped out on to avoid too much jarring on my hip and back, and the pistol squats were more of a one-legged lunge (with a kick). I'm hoping this is just the beginning. Ran two days ago, and tomorrow a leisurely hike. I can't wait to get back and surpass where I was at!
So i am new to this. Should i do same workout everyday for a week or should i do new workout everyday. can someone please explain to me. Thanks

When I first saw Zuzka I loved her inside and out and I vowed to do EVERY workout she had from the oldest to new. I WAS doing that until today when all her vids & pics got erased from bodyrock. so its ZWOW oldest to new! LETS GO!
Oh yes, and 22 mins for this workout. My forearm started to feel funny last set of burpees, so I stopped. had to modify the side lifts to my elbow and same with the dive-bombers.
This is the hardest workout of my life :), for various reasons I stopped going to the gym and do not do anything half a year. The day before yesterday was able to make only two laps instead of three, with a break between them in three hours. Yesterday, I could not deal with, because the severe pain in the muscles. Today took two rounds in a row, this is the coolest workout! I believe and feel that your training will give more results than a gym. Dive-bombers - now I look like a hippo incident ... Ahoj Zuzka, You are a huge inspiration to me as I've finally made myself commit to getting my body back in shape. I'm just wondering if you have any tips for complete beginners to help tackle the workouts? For example, I really struggle with pistol squats and from reading the posts I guess I'm not the only one... It would be great if you could include a few words on how to make the workout achievable for people like me before we build up the strength to follow you.. Many thanks and all the best, Jana

29:32, already managed to cut off 3 minutes from the first time i done # 1 in 2012. This is it, this is the start of the new me 2013
So I did this work out for first time and couldnt walk for 3 days. But better sore than sorry :-) I did it 21:30 with modifications, kicked my ass!!
This is awesome! I've finally found something to start loosing weight! I'm really out of shape so I couldn't get further than the first 5 mins tho... But I warmed up with some Zumba like half an hour before I tried this first workout. I'm gonna finish with a few kettlebell exercises!
back to z#1 for me today ! I start my private 50/50 day challenge to loss weight and help me to get stronger. This ZWOW took me 30'36, it was so hard and I do only half size pistol ! Thanks Zu
Hi Zuzka! I must begin by saying I LOVE your workouts!! :) I just began yesterday by doing ZWOW #1 but I'm a little confused as to how often do I do the workouts. Are they every week or every day? Thanks in advance :)
Whew. This kicked my butt. Finished it in about 18 minutes.
total beginner here... I'm in week 3 of a 12 week challenge and need to start upping the ante so after next week (week 4) I'm gonna start doing your workouts.... they look killer! A friend who was doing it said she noticed results within weeks so I hope I get those same results too!

This was a hard but good workout - really enjoyed it. did it twice last week first time took 24:03.09secs and the 2nd time took 20:49.96secs. Start on ZWOD 2 today :-)
I'm going on a cruise in November 2013 and although I don't have much weight to lose (5-8lb) I want to tone and firm up again. I've committed to myself to be in a bikini for my cruise. this workout kicked my butt!! It felt great.

Thank you Zuzana! I have been following your site for months and finally decided to cowboy up. I completed ZWOW #1 (with the following scalings) Dive Bombers = knee push-ups; Pistol Squats = 1-legged squats. Time 27:47. But i did complete it.
Amazing WO! Finished at 19:34. After a chest day it was really hard :) Now going to take shower

It's been a long time since I worked out! Did this in 33:12 today! Not my best ever but at least I got up and moved!
Hi! I just started today doing Zwow#1! My time was not great, I did it in 36 minutes :S but my wrists kind of hurt. Is that normal or did I do something wrong? I'm hurting but i love it!!! Tomorrow #2!!!
Back on it!! I'm getting my 6pack this time- great but EVIL workout- did it in 29 mins- my form wasn't great but it'll get better!
My time is 41:16. I'm like 130 lbs overweight so don't judge, lol (I'm 5'6" and weigh around 281 lbs). I'm proud of myself...

Hi, Zuz! yesterday i did my first workout after being pregnant) it was really amazing!!! I loved it. I sweated a lot, I was so tired, but I felt great) I tried to do my best, but it was really hard for my weak body :D so, today I'm gonna do it again! I'm really looking forward to look as gorgeous as you do)

Great workout! I ran a mile then then walked a half mile on full incline as my warm up for this workout. I did it in 14:59 but I forgot the side plank lift, which would have probably put me closer to the 18 or 19 min mark. The pistols are soooo hard! I used a chair for help.

after several timid attempts (1 round each time ) I finally got to complete all the 3 rounds yesterday... in one hour! I'm definitely out of shape as in 'total beginner' here. I thought I was going to die but I kept pushing with several breaks. Yeah not really impressive but I'll do better next time. Thanks for this challenge Zuzka!
So I always found your workouts on pinterest but could never find any of them on bodyrock. I eventually figured it out that you weren't with that company anymore, but I needed more of your workouts!! Finally had the bright idea to google you and found zuzkalight.com!!! I started going through your posts in April and am making my way through them. For some reason I didn't write down my time for this workout, but I know I did it because I remember thinking that's it's not humanly possible to do pistol squats. So I'm working on those. Love the site!!!
