Hello Z. I have been following you for what seems like 10 years or more now since early Bodyrock days and I know that you have always stated that your daily workouts are the only workouts you do. The thing is that the only women I have ever seen that are in shape like you lift weights for about an hour a day on a regular basis. So my question is are you just genetically blessed or do you actually do your workouts twice in order to film them, plus do your postural therapy daily, plus do one of your 45 minute long strength and toning routines, plus ride your bike everywhere? I have always just been so confused as to how you have the strength that you do eating the small amount of food that you do and just working out 15 minutes a day. I mean if it was just the 15 minutes then you would think that every Mom in the world would be in incredible shape from just playing with their children for 15 minutes a day you know chasing them around and picking them up etc… would be equivalent to one of your workouts. Thank you for looking at my question.

I have 4 children, ages 11, 8, 6 and almost 4. My 4 year old is borderline autistic. In no way, shape or form is chasing, playing, walking, going to the park, anything with them any where near the intensity of Z’s workouts. I do have to say, I do 2 of her workouts per day NOW, but that is due to me trying to lose a baby/beer belly. I was a borderline alcoholic for about a year, after finding out about my son, losing my little brother and then losing my grandmother. But once in shape I always just do one of her workouts and maybe a 5min one every day and I switch between body weight and equipment, 6 days a week. Sundays I ONLY stretch.

Oh and Z’s food has very low carbs BUT LOTS of calories typically. I have tried quite a few of her recipe’s.

    Hi Z,
I know you use swerve for a sweetener, what do you think about Stevia? Is that a good sweetener as well? Or is there something in stevia that is bad for you? I would love your feedback on this.

    Loves!! ๐Ÿ™‚

Hi Zu, thanks for the great coffee talk! I’m having my coffee with you ๐Ÿ™‚
I have a question for you about body composition and your fitness programs. I have been following you for 7 or 8 years now, and you have kept me in great all around shape, and especially so since joining your Z-gym a few years ago. I compete at an international level in kayaking, and even when I can’t train on the water, and I only have your workouts, I am still able to stay in top fitness, and no one can believe I am only doing home workouts to remain that way!

Anyways, back to the question, when I have followed your series such as killer legs or butt, I notice a lot of hypertrophy in those muscle groups, particularly with the legs, to an unflattering degree (my legs start to look like giant kegs, rather than nice and sculpted and lean like yours). Though, I do notice that as you go through the program, you also have muscle size and shape changes. I am wondering whether you notice, and what you do about it – as in, do you try to maintain the muscle you’ve built, or do you let you body naturally adjust as you move on to other routines and fitness programs? Have you ever noticed that any of your programs changed your body shape to an extent that you did not like or that was unsustainable for you?

Finally, I have another ice cream recipe that is helpful for anyone who cannot have milk (not just from lactose, but intolerance to casein or whey). Use coconut cream, frozen bananas, and frozen blueberries in a high power blender (adjust to your desired flavor and consistency), and voila! Delicious creamy naturally sweet ice cream!

OMG! Your questions are great and the ice cream receipe. To add to your questions is upper body definition and strength. Can just doing routines such as Black diamond or infernos develop the shape and cuts to the arms or do we need heavy barbell training? Also how much is too much when it comes to practicing shoulder taps, pull ups and such? Oh and when it comes to postural therapy, what are the main exercises you focus on daily, Z? problem

Hello Zuzka! This is not workout related, but it’s still a question! Your skin always looks amazing in your videos. Are you wearing makeup, or do you have naturally healthy skin?

Hi Zuzka ๐Ÿ™‚ (And fellow warriors)

    2 questions ….
    1) Swerve isn’t really available in the UK, I could buy it online and have it delivered from overseas but it’s so expensive. Erithritol … Or however you spell, it is easily available but how would I use it in cooking ? Do you replace 1 cup of sugar with 1 cup sweetener or is it different ?
    2) I’ve noticed on some of your recipie posts that you said boiled and microwaved potatoes can be classed as FM… Has the way you eat carbs changed ?

I’ve noticed for me that eating carbs at any time of the day (training days) works… As long as it’s just one carb meal a day. For example if I’m going for lunch, I could have like pasta or a sandwich, do a workout in the evening and then have a low carb meal… I suppose every one is different, but I don’t limit myself to having carbs after a workout. Also, I leave for work at 6:30 am, if I do a workout before I leave that means having to eat carbs like… At 6am!! I can’t handle it ๐Ÿ˜›

Anyway… Thank you for taking the time to read my comment.

    Lots of love.
    India xx

      hi India,
Swerve is just a trade name for Erythritol (sugar alcohol). it sweetens a little less (about 70%) than sugar.

        Hi Dani

Thank you so much for your reply!!

Do you use Erythritol in cooking/baking? Do you use like 1 cup of sweetener to replace sugar, or do you use more, less?

Sorry to be a pain for advice, but thank you for your help xx

          Hi India,
you’re welcome:) I use it for baking-up to now mostly for the dessert recipes from Zuzka (they are super-yummy!!). Usually I stick to the amounts she gives but for some desserts (esp. the ones with toppings) it was too sweet for me so next time I’ll use a little less.If I do a recipe with sugar quantity given in grs, I replace the amount with a little more Erythritol,e.g. instead of 100 grs sugar I use 130-150 grs Erythritol (just how I feel it;))
hope you have fun when trying Erythritol, take care

Zuzka, also said on another post that her recent knowledge is that you can have a carb meal anytime after your workout; not just a 2 hour window. That is nice for me as i do better with my carb meal in the evening. It just feels right for me and i sleep real well.

    Hi Z,
Could you talk a little bit more about Intermittent fasting methods you have tried, how long you did it, and how that worked for you? Also, are you still planning on coming up with a meal plan for the Z gym community?! Love the coffee talks! Your humor makes me smile ๐Ÿ™‚

I’ve been working on a meal plan for a few months now. It’s time consuming not only for me but also for my team, but we’re very close to the launch. It’s going to be available in the store but ZGYM members will have a big discount. My first meal plan will focus on super fast fat loss. I’m planning all kinds of different meal plans to accommodate different needs, and I’m also thinking about an ongoing meal plan for ZGYM members only that would be affordable and easy to use for everyone.

        Hi Zuzka,
I cannot express in words how grateful I am for you taking the time to respond to my question. I was having a really tough day yesterday and seeing that you replied to my post made me feel so much better (just knowing that someone was out there and cared). It was like somehow you knew I needed that, haha ;). Actually, it’s kinda funny how that has happened multiple times with what you are currently working on and what’s going on in my life! That’s why I appreciate all of the hard work you put into helping the Z gym community. It is beyond inspiring and I hope to one day be a role model for others too. Anyway…I am so pumped for the meal plans and will definitely take advantage of it! I know it’s the last piece of the puzzle and I’m excited to start the journey!!
        Best regards,
        Katie ๐Ÿ™‚

Hey Zuzka, i love your long coffee talks. I love info you share with us, and when you tell about yourself and other things. Oftentimes after a stressful day i turn on your coffee talks and my heart just rests… It’s like talking with a dear friend, gives me peace and takes stress away. Last night, i had watched your video and was feeling so good after…
    thank you
