 | 36 Comments  | Blog

Hey guys, I’m back with a new VLOG  after taking a some time off for grieving. It was hard when Santino passed away and I just couldn’t get myself to do it. I’m much better now and excited to share my boring life with you again 😉 haha. I have a big dream though that I did share with you in today’s vlog… have you any dreams to share?

I know it takes time to get back to normal (or at least semi-normal!) after losing a loved pet. My parents just lost their oldest dog suddenly early last week when he collapsed from a heart attack (passing away on the spot). It’s heartbreaking…but like Santino, he lived a super life to the fullest and had great times up to the very end!

Tahoe is gorgeous!!! I’ve been through once on a family trip out west and back when I was young. I loooooooove the mountains (the Eastern, smaller, mountains AND the Western huge ones)!! Our dream is to get a more secluded home with more acreage, eventually…and hopefully in or around the mountains! 😀

What’s the name of the postural therapy tower? (Or is it just called that?) I should put one of those on my Christmas wish-list!! 🙂

You can find the tower on Egoscue.com it’s a great thing to have.

Thanks!! I’ll look into that, for sure! The postural therapy routines have helped so much (and so quickly!!) whenever I get lower back pain/soreness. I’d love to give that a shot to go another step to keep things from getting out of whack! 🙂

Hi Zuzka, do you think that this towel is going to help me with scoliosis and kyphosis? Cos it s pretty expensive if you also consider the extra delivery costs to Europe.. And I m not sure if it deserves all these money..:/

You definitely cannot treat scoliosis (I have one myself in the cervical area), but you can fight the pain through strengthening spinal muscles and making sure your posture is right (which the postural therapy is awesome for). I don’t have the tower, but I just use a chair and one smaller box to position my legs for the exercises (the one Zuzka was showing is for groin muscles; they basically pull on the hips, preventing them from going into extension/flexion. This way the hip muscles have the ability to relax (please, correct me if I’m wrong!) You can definitely make it without the tower for the start to see how it works for you. If you see changes, go ahead and get the tower (it has several different height levels, which a box and a chair can’t provide) For scoliosis, I noticed lots of yin yoga woks WONDERS (and I am a sceptic!) Since back muscles are totally out of whack from scoliosis, it’s good to work on your posture and make sure that what needs to relax is relaxed. Postural therapy basically teaches muscles to do their work because these days most of us use compensating muscles to do stuff they’re not even meant to do. It’s totally worth it to go ahead and change that. Good luck. 🙂

Thanks for your comments. My 15 year old daughter has scoliosis and the pain can get intense. We have had her go to a chiropractor, that helps. I wonder if she’ll do the posture therapy, or if she’ll think I’m crazy

So glad to see that big smile on your face.

I’m trying to get mine back. In August we lost my mother-in-law and in October my mother passed away. The day after my mom’s death my husband had emergency surgery. He was in the hospital for four days. He is still recovering and will be fine. However these last several months have been the saddest months of my life. I feel lost and miss my mother deeply.

My faith and lots of prayers have carried me through this difficult time. However it’s so hard to feel the joy I had before all of this. I have continued to exercise and eat healthy. However my body is not responding to this routine like it used to. Not sure if it’s because of all the stress, Los of sleep, and sadness. I am just trying to get my happy back and feel good about my self again.

We’re going to take an extended weekend and spend some time away from home with friends. Hoping this will be a spirit lifting getaway. Much needed before the holidays come. This year’s holidays will be full of reminiscing and starting new traditions.

Zuzka thank you for all you do. You continue to inspire me daily.

    PS. Como is so cute.

    God bless

I’m so sorry, that’s a big loss you had to deal with. I hope your husband is going to be ok. The closest person I have is Jesse and I don’t what I would do if something happened to him. It hurts me just to see him dealing with headache 🙂 Life is so harsh sometimes, but it’s nice to know there are so many good people out there dealing with similar or worse situations and being strong despite of it. Thank you for sharing your story and I wish you all the best.

Thank you. He will be fine by the end of the year. Recovery for him is a long process. My husband has met Jesse a few times and looks forward to seeing him again. They talked about drinking Absinthe. Hugs to you and Jesse for your loss. My apologies for not reaching out sooner as my heart was broken and I just didn’t have the words. So happy to see you smiling. I will get there soon.
Thank you so much for all you do to inspire, motivate, and educate us on health and fitness.

A little jealous of your hubby as I think Jesse is someone I would like to know better.

Zuzka helped me thru the lost of my Mom and Dad a few years back. Grief can be heart renching and really never goes away completely.

The lost of your Mom is the hardest I think as she was the first person we met and hopefully who loved us. Be well and be good.

Thank you for your reply. Zuzka’s website is a huge help for many people. Her positivity and enthusiasm are a tremendous spirit boost. If not for finding her and following her workouts and nutrition habits I wouldn’t be at the fitness level I’m at today. It has strengthen not only my body but my mind and my spirit.
Yes the loss of my mother is the hardest thing I’ve ever encountered in my life time. I am filled with lots of fun memories but continue to reach for the phone to give her a call. I know time will help. Most important is to stay on track with exercise and health.
This whole community of Warriors is like extended family. An awesome group of people to have around. They’re here in the good times and the bad times to celebrate the joys and to comfort inn the loss.
            Thank you again God bless

      Sherri,
I’m so sorry to hear about both of your losses. There aren’t words for that kind of grief, just time.
Don’t beat yourself up if you don’t hit your fitness or eating goals right now. There’s more to life.
All I can say is don’t dread the holidays b/c they will bring back memories of loved ones, but rejoice in the love and goods times that made those memories. And like you said, it’s a good time to start new traditions.
We are an extended family on this website. Reach out if you need some cheering up, motivation, pep talk, or just a reminder it’s OK we are perfect all the time.
Wishing you and your family all the very best,
      Celeste

Thank you for your kindness and the reminder to rejoice in the love and good times.
You know sticking with exercise and eating right throughout this difficult time has been helpful. It helps to relieve stress and just help with mental clarity. Although as I mentioned my body is just acting out of sorts. It will fall back in line soon as I do stay consistent for many reasons. Once again thank you. I do tend to forget how this is an extended family. Just talking about all of this on this today has been uplifting. 🙏

I highly recommend Nuun for electrolytes. I wouldn’t have been able to continue working out at high intensity and lose weight if it wasn’t for adding this to my water, because I felt dizzy and almost fainting when I first started exercising regularly. This saved me from giving up.

Helloo! Ah to find a passion, I am in the same boat and what I’ve found is, its not something we can really ‘look’ for, we just have to keep our hearts and minds open and do things that makes us happy everyday, until it reveals itself to us! For me, I am just getting very sick of the routine of a 9-5 blocked in schedule where every day feels the same and i feel like i am on a rat wheel. I unfortunately, for financial reasons, cannot quit my current job or anything like that, so i have been trying to find my passions on the side that one day i can hopefully make lucrative, so i never have to work a day in my life 🙂 I love Zuzka for turning her passion into a career and being able to help so many other people with what she does. Personally, I am going back for my Reiki II certification, as i know my path is and has always been in the healing profession. But i would like to take it to the next level someday, maybe open up my own little shop/business 🙂 we shall see. Don’t ever give up though, its out there for you!!!

Hi Zuzka! So glad that you are feeling better. We lost our 16 year old kitty in September and we can just now talk about her and smile and remember all the good times that we had with her. It does takes time. I really enjoy your V-blogs. It’s so fun to see what you guys are up to and all the places that you guys go to.

We are getting into the very last stage of making sure the store works. Hoodies are ready – it’s a matter of days! Good news is that ZGYM members will be the first to have the option to buy before we open the store up to the public.
