Isn’t it so much fun to see your own improvement and progress? I absolutely love going way back to really old workouts that I’ve done couple years ago and prove to myself that you can get fitter as you get older. They say that 30 is a major breaking point and from that point on you’re just getting old. Age is not an obstacle when it comes to fitness, so what are your goals that you would like to achieve within the next 5 years? I have a few, and I can’t wait to get there. It’s fun to have performance goals and it’s something that can keep you motivated a lot more than just your desire to look a certain way.
Workout Breakdown
1. Forward / Backward squat jump x 10
2. Weighted Curtsy lunge x 10
3. Plank Toe touch jump up x 10
4. Side Plank Leg Lift x 10 each side

I don’t record my times or amount of reps either. I just try to give it my all and stay in the moment of the workout. Your energy is different everyday due to many factors like sleep, diet, monthly cycle, etc…I don’t think just because you didn’t beat your time from before you are not progressing in your fitness.

You have a good point Cari! I usually follow along with Zuzka and just try to give it my all as well. If I happen to get ahead a bit I do a few extra reps. While I agree it is nice to see improvement, there are times you are just happy to get through it, (maybe because of other factors).

So I managed to finish 6 rounds. At the beginning I so doubted myself and thought I wont manage two rounds- reason is I have been very slack since July . I am so bad and make empty promises to myself saying I will start regular training daily and even if i am up early I don’t. Realising that I need to do this for my health as I am about to turn 48 soon I must be more determined in reaching my goals. So my time was a bit slow at 21:47 but will work at improving it. Laughed at doing side lifts as I am not well balanced on my right side and tried my best actually lifting my leg a decent height. I tried focusing on form as well. I used my 10kg kettlebell for the curtsy lunges – I love these lunges. Thanks again Zuzka and all of you as you all are great support to pull me out of my “depressed” state of mind

Took me 31 min and 30 seconds but I paused a few times for my friend Nathen to catch up to me. I’m just proud I did it because 6 rounds seemed so daunting! I used a 26lb kettle bell

I’m feeling a bit out of it and delayed it with a whole day, did it while listening to a podcast and I took my time. It was a lovely slow paced workout :D.
