Heartbreaker Body Workout #1 X

HeartBreakerBody1

This series is all about High Intensity Interval Training with two pieces of equipment - pair of dumbbells and power band.  I use 12lb dumbbells which is a good enough challenge for me, but remember that we're all individuals so you'll each have to choose the right weights for you. If 12lb dumbbells feel like it's too much for you, use a lighter pair. If you need a bigger challenger, use heavier dumbbells. When it comes to the power band, I suggest you always use the heaviest one. They usually come in a pack of 3 or more. Use the thickest band to get the most out of this series and so that it doesn't roll on you (it still happens but not as... [more]

If only you knew how long i have been waiting for a dumbbell-only workout series. Thank you so much for finally bringing it through! And now if your weekly meals can come back i would be the happiest girl in the world <3

I also am of the same mind. I love dumbell work and what is this about no more weekly food logs…. oh no I let my membership lapse due to a lazy spurt and a family move. I hope Zuzka continues to do that. Was helpful for sure. Have a great workout Lina.!!

I love HIIT, dumbells and band, I like it already! (see if I’ll still say this after actually doing it…)

I loved the dynamics, I loved the workout!
Since my little son doesn’t allow me to work out for more than 15 minutes this kind of workout is perfect, is a total body workout and intensity cardio too. Thanks Z.
Maybe you could in the future bring a power band only workout series 🙂

I think the power band is giving me small spider veins. Does someone else have the same problem?

I’ve noticed that too, but i suffer from varicose veins. Guess power band is not for us 🙁

Me too. I just had an operation four weeks ago, now I am slowly returning back to Zgym’s workouts. It was hard to me to watch workouts and not be able to exercise. No jumping for me, those varicose veins return to quickly. It was my fourth operation so far.

I saw people state it could not worsen it but it does seem like it. I guess I am just going to keep trying. I can imagine it can even hurt too with varocose veins..

Oh no!! I’m prone to spider/varicose, too. I’ll have to watch that. I wonder if wearing longer pants might help for people like us — give a little bit of a barrier between the skin and the band. (ha ha, as a side note: WOW those bands HURT when using with a sunburn!!!) I’d like to know, too, if anyone has any suggestions to help with the spider veins. Those things run in my family, so I try to do what I can to help prevent, or at least delay. 😮

compression socks – hard to put it on, but effective

Thanks!! I’ll definitely be getting a pair! I don’t have anything MAJOR, yet (So I haven’t even thought to bring it up during physicals). But I do try to do my best to delaying them or at least keeping them to a minimum!

The other replies state it cannot cause or worses the veins so perhaps it is just a coincidence (I sure hope so). Nobody in my family has them and I got them just over a year ago while always being active so I was a bit confused. I hope people are right andwe can just keep using it:).

And I can imagine that it hurts on a sunburn=[=[…

Power bands will not give you spider veins or make varicose veins worse. Wearing compression socks do help with varicose veins. It won’t cure them only a surgery will do that. I actually work at a vascular lab where we do the surgeries. Unfortunately its genetic and more common in women 🙁

Thank you for the reply:). I luckily ony have the small spider ones so it is not too bad but still makes me insecure.. just got them a year or two years ago and no one in my family has them so I was a bit confused. It would be lovely if the power bands cannot cause more of them to appear. I thought that the tension might increase the chance of getting them as they were on the same spot. I am still going to use them and see if it gets worse I guess:).

what do the compresion socks do to help do they make them less noticable or what bc i have them so bad i have the little spider veins and the big ones the stick out i hate it and every year they r getting worse especially the big one on the side of my leg it goes up higher and higher what can i do besides surgery and also does fluctuation of your weight make them worse thank you

It will get worse and worse. You have to have a surgery (laser surgery is the best). And then try to wear compression socks as much time as you can to prevent the new varicose veins. Because they do come back. It’s genetic, not much you can do about it.

compression socks do temporally help while they are on. Really the only thing that will help is to have surgery to remove them. When your weight is lower , there’s a chance that you are just seeing them better.

I don’t know if that is totally true. I remember an aunt wearing garters to hold up stockings having spider veins were the elastic rubbed against her skin. It was long ago and it’s possible I’m remembering wrong, but I don’t think so.

keeping something on all day like your Aunt did could make the little spider veins worse. However, the little amount of time we use the power band shouldn’t make a difference.

True my aunt wore them all day. Besides the primary cause of spider veins are the valves in veins allowing back flow. Not sure if the bands would cause that.

Hi, I had spider veins before I started to workout, and I have noticed the opposite, they are the same, I don’t have more, not even where we put the band, wich I love because is very practical and effective.
