Best Wireless Headphones for Your Training
Blog | November 04, 2016
Jesse and I went to the mall last night looking for wireless headphones. He’s been wanting to get the Jaybird X3 for his running, because he read some great reviews about them and did quite a bit of research. I spend hardly any time reading about gadgets, and rely mostly on Jesse’s knowledge of new and upcoming technology, so I was going to get the Jaybirds as well. But then I came across the Trekz Titanium designed by Aftershockz and instantly fell in love.
Here’s what I really like about them
- They don’t hurt my ears after wearing them for a longer period of time, because the earbuds sit in front of your ears – not in or behind where it can cause discomfort.
- You can hear your music but you can also hear if there’s a car coming at you when you’re running outside. You can also listen to music and have a conversation, because you’re still aware of what’s happening around you.
- They are super light weight and exercising with them is fun.
- You can even pick up a phone call with them and even though there’s no microphone anywhere near to your mouth, the person on the other side can hear you perfectly clear.
Jesse said he doesn’t like how he can hear his surroundings and he still prefers the earbuds that go into his ears. It takes him completely away from his environment and the music is the only thing he can hear loud and clear. It’s a personal preference.
I on the other hand, like that feature. It’s like listening to music that’s coming out of ย a speaker that’s really close to you, but no one else can hear it.
So that’s what I wanted to share with you guys, because with these headphones you can listen to your ZGYM workout videos and your music at the same time.
I got these headphones in a gadget store in the local shopping mall, but you can purchase them for the same price on Amazon.com

Love having this option! I can understand the appeal of both options!

There is some research that suggests ear buds actually can damage your hearing (I imagine it’s turning the volume up and having them deep in your ears). So these might be a good compromise.

Do you find they stay put while moving around, i.e. skipping, burpees, changing planes/directions etc?

interesting. thanks for sharing. I have very small ear canals and standard earbuds don’t stay in place (even if not moving at all), so I had to buy something specific for sport but not wireless for now. Is it really that only you that can hear to the music? it really looks like 2 mini-loudspeakers sitting in front of your ears.

Thanks for sharing, Zuzka. This helps me a lot because I’ve been wanting Bluetooth headphones like these. Now that my knee is better I’ve been wanting to start run walking again. The idea of being able to hear my surroundings is a selling point for me because I’ve almost been hit by a car on two separate occasions in the past. Plus being able to walk, run or ride with someone and listen to your music but still have a conversation without taking one earbud out is cool. Idefinitely going to check these out on Amazon.

Thank you for sharing this, Zuzka. Which store did you buy this thing? Yes, I saw it in Amazon but I’m eager to try it on if this will fit my taste. I am also like Jesse, I love the ‘bass’ sound like you’re infront of the big speaker and hear your heart boom-boom!!! hahaha LOL….. I believe this gadget would definitely be helpful for my over 10 miles hiking on Sundays…. that can able to hear music while also enjoying the noise of the nature and can able to converse with my hubby. Thanks again. I’m always fun of wireless, especially bluetooth stuff. ๐ Please…please…please… which local store did you go? Beverly Hills? The Grove? etc. etc… ๐

Hello Zuzka, my question has nothing to do with your headphone but could you make a video about how you learn a new language (like english or russian) ? Your tips, tools…
Thank you, have a nice day ๐
