Anti Aging Foods - Coffee Talk

Blog | May 25, 2017

This week’s Giveaway is sponsored by PinnerTest.com and one of you lucky guys can win one these Food Intolerance Test kits if you go to my Instagram Account and follow the instructions. The winner from the last week’s Giveaway will be announced there as well.

About Pinnertest:

Pinnertest is an in-home, next generation blood test that identifies a patient’s individual food intolerances.

Using ultra-modern microarray biotechnology, Pinnertest can properly diagnose both temporary and permanent food intolerances.

Food intolerance testing has not always been as accurate as it is today. In the past, techniques used to determine food intolerances were often seen as unreliable. This was mainly due to their inability to report the differences between temporary and permanent food intolerances. By falsely reporting a temporary sensitivity as a permanent one, users were forced to cut even more of their favorite foods from their diet than actually necessary.

Luckily, food intolerance testing has improved dramatically over the last 20 years.

Pinnertest, for instance, employs advanced microarray biotechnology that thoroughly measures IgG antibody levels against the proteins of 200 foods. This progressive technique, the most accurate of its kind, can tell the difference between temporary and permanent food intolerances to identify the exact foods that your system is sensitive towards – all with just a few drops of blood dispensed by a basic finger prick.

Thanks to all of these advancements, the days of trial and error diets and false positive reporting are over, leaving patients with the peace of mind they deserve when it comes to their diets.

Loved the coffee talk! Very informative! I have been applying low carb/Paleo/Primal diet for years now and I keep learning about it. It has been changing throughout the years…It´s a never ending story… But that´s life 😀

I commented on the other post about this…but then seeing it on the coffee talk, too — wow, I JUST made a huge batch of bone broth just the other day (first time doing it with beef bones). Roasting them absolutely does make a wonderful flavor! I haven’t thought much about drinking it straight, but I love it in soups. I thought I overate the other day because a regular sized bowl of it filled me up SO much for SO long (soup never does that for me)…turns out it was just filling and kept me full!

I’d be very interested in figuring out food intolerance (particularly for my husband — he’s been finding some foods reacting unpredictably, and can’t put his finger on which ones). Eep! Never been a fan of the finger-prick, though! I’d rather prick somewhere else that doesn’t have so many nerve endings! 😮 I know for me, I’ve found I can’t handle eggplants (I felt SO sick the last few times I had one, afterwards), and that makes me so sad, because I like the taste and I know they’re healthy. I guess being down for the count the rest of the day might cancel out the health benefits, in that case though. 😉 It’s funny how some things work for some people, but not for others!

Excellent coffee talk. Gave me two things I really wanted to know…1) a good vinaigrette recipe and 2) a bone broth recipe. But I have a silly question. Can you just buy plain beef bones somewhere?

Some butchers at the market will sell them to you if you ask for them. I can find them at a local market here, but have also requested them directly from a butcher. 🙂

I have been trying to go for the cheap golden standard “elimination” diet approach (for now I looked into the FODMAP) but from what I read about it is that it just addresses the symptoms (which in itself is already life-changing) , so I am looking further right now and reading a promising book (not sure I will find practical answers) : the brain-gut connection.
On the other hand I would love a blood test, especially that this one seems to make the difference between permanent and temporary intolerance.
I’ll enter the giveaway and see what it screens for.

    Hi Zuzka and everyone,

Zuzka, i have been listening to Head Strong from Dave Asprey, who talks a lot about mold toxins in our food and environment.

I love the information you shared, and I am curious if you have any opinion on these moldy toxins, since you also have been into bulletproof coffee, which is the creation of Dave Asprey as far as I know.

I know that what is healthy food or in what form, is such a controversial and debated topic, and i really don’t expect You to know everything or to have an answer to everything. (I do think in some cases we just need to take a pick on what we believe).

I hope you get a chance to read my comment!

Thanks for all the videos, and hard work!

    XxxxK

    Hi Zuzka,

Thank you for talking about food intolerances!

For most of my life, I thought I was so lucky to not have and food allergies. I’ve always had trouble with other allergies- all trees, weeds, molds, etc. I’ve been really sick for a few years. Constant sinus pain, sinus infections, and headaches. I take 4 allergy medications a day and am getting weekly allergy shots, but nothing really helps much.

Then last year I found out I’m allergic to eggs. I eliminated them from my diet but I’ve still felt constantly miserable. I finally broke down and paid a lot of money for a blood test to check my food allergies. It tested 96 common foods and I now know that I’m highly allergic to almonds (I’ve been drinking almond milk every single day for years!!!), pineapples, mushrooms, and kidney beans. I’m also moderately allergic to wheat, yeast (bakers and brewers), and whey.

These results were really shocking to me. I’m working on eliminating a lot of these foods now and/or determine what reaction these foods cause, but it’s been extremely difficult. For anyone that’s struggling with illness but can’t figure out the cause, I highly recommend checking what food allergies or intolerances you may have.

As a person who has dealt with inflamation issues and come around to eating to avoid this, your information is spot on from my experiences. You are a delight, informative, personable and right! Bone Broth has been a lifesaver for me over the years because of digestion and liver issues. Great Coffee Talk! I wish you all a positive day!

I love all your coffee talks, and especially this one!!
I’m only 30 yrs old and I have been dealing with a type of T-Cell lymphoma called mycosis fungoides involving the skin. It’s a cancer originating in the lymph nodes and then doesn’t become active until the lymphatic cells reach the skin. I’ve been dealing with this for 4 yrs now.

I always have eaten super healthy, and for years have included ALL the foods you mentioned in my daily diet (along with your daily workouts)
So maybe I’ll try to get my food intolerances tested….or maybe I’m just unlucky.
There is a chance that no matter what we do for ourselves we can still have health issues that are out of our control, just wanted to point that out.
Thank you very much for all your hard work and great info!!♡
