My DIY Projects

A couple of weekends ago I decided to be creative and I shortened the legs of our table that was actually pretty tall and we had no stools to go with it. I thought why not to make a nice coffee talbe out of it. I also wanted to sand it down, however that is still in progress.

Now the table looks like this, we have not figure out yet the seating around this table and the most ironic part is that we just got two awesome looking stools made out of iron and leather (really fancy) but now we don’t have the high table to go with it! I was seriously thinking about gluing the legs back on the table, just to be able to use those stools.

Don’t you ever feel like that?

Yesterday I walked into the door and the first thing I saw was this monster.  Jesse decided to take our DIY projects to the next level, and got a few of these big woodworking tools so that he can build us a new dining table.. YAY! Super excited, but I can’t wait to get this machine out of the living room 🙂

Santino

Anyways, we moved into our house in April, but we’re still working on making this place into our home. We definately need more furniture and decorations, but the kids, I mean dogs,  seem to be happy 🙂 Santino knows exactly what I’m talking about.

Whatever you do, don’t use the big drill to make big holes in the floor for the legs of the new stools to stand in!!!! Landlord will be unhappy…. If making from new doesn’t quite go right.. start looking for an old table to refresh!!!! Probably can find one in a small ad, an auction, a used goods store, pawn shop or even a recycling centre!

Doing things yourself is the best. Especially if one knows what one does. One can save money and time. And make it exactly how one wants it!! 😀

Zuzka I am a DIY person too! It is so much fun and a great way to stay active and busy throughout the day…I would love to see more pictures of the house, maybe WarriorZ could help you decorate!? I love interior design it would be really cool to see what your style is like. And thank you for the non-fitness related post 🙂 it makes things more interesting!

Safety First – I suggest you get a workbench or some other support to clamp the wood while you cut it. Using jack stands and cutting in this posture is not safe. Also, use thick leather or cotton work gloves so you don’t cut yourself with the saw/tool or get splinters in your hand from the wood. When using power tools, it may be a good idea to use safety glasses as wood dust will fly further from the power tools, e.g. a circular saw.

This is something I’m not really sure if I’m good at or not… My parents really haven’t got the tools to build something, and I was never allowed to try something for myself… Guess I’ll find out when I get my own home 😉

Zuzka, ist true that the zropes dvd can now be shipped internationally but it then costs 60dollars?? :((( the power cardio dvd was also shipped but it was the same price.. If that relly is true and will be the case for all dvds, then probably I should have many DIY projects because I would not be able to buy any furniture 😛 just kidding, but I am sad about the price :,(

Zuzka, is it true that there is an option on Amazon to let the DVD be shipped internationally – but for 60 to 199$ (instead of 16$)?

I am getting tired of asking the same question again and being in an awaiting state in order for the dvds to be shipped..

Can you not just make a final statement about this issue: Just tell us please if they will _not_ be shipped, ever.. Or do you plan to ship somewhen, like maybe in 2032 or so.

I just want to know so that I do not have to track it constantly and can stop asking.

      Thanking you
