Thank you so much for talking about bio-individuality! We totally overthink diets and it makes people crazy and anxious. I love your sweatshirt, too!

Zuzka: I love seeing all your animals (dogs especially) but I had to really laugh this time when you showed all your handstand moves in the hallway and your cat stayed still just watching you! I wonder what they think of us doing these moves. My dog Liliko’i (yes she is a rescue from Kaua’i) loves to sniff with her cold nose my bare belly when I’m practising handstands, which only gets me giggling and I lose my balance. Enjoy Hawaii

This is my FAVOURITE coffee talk!! Thank you! Many great tips and thank you for providing the explanation about muscle soreness in such a detailed way. 🙂 I loved it! Perfect! Have a great holiday and happy birthday! <3

Great talk. Organic tampons are better for us but not for our environment. I came across mooncup 3 years ago and this is a great way to not only do good for your body but also for the environment due to no waste. And on top you safe lots of money because you do not have to buy tampons anymore. You need to get used to it but once you are it is great.
You can find an explanatory video about it on youtube if you are interessted. Happy periods ladies and keep up the great work!

I started with the cup too! A few month ago and I think I finally got the hang of it.^^ Really does take some getting used to, but when it’s working it’s awesome. 🙂

I also have the moon cup! I had the first one when I turned 18 and I have been using it since. Already 6 years! 😀 And I used the first one for like 4 years I think and then I bought the second one. It’s the best invention ever, everybody should try it <3 it's so easy when you understand how it works and like Stefania said it's also ecological and economic. Here in Finland you can buy it for 30€ or so so it's not a lot of money compared how long it lasts. 🙂 I highly recommend it to everyone!

Another menstrual cup user here. I’ve been using a menstrual cup for 8 or 9 years and will never go back to tampons.

Yay for fellow cup warriorz! Has been a great decision for me personally.

I also love the cup! I use Diva Cup – it seems to be the easiest to find, but I think they are all similar. Been using it for 5-6 years now and won’t go back. Mostly from the environmental impact, but also it’s much more comfortable and no need to worry about reaction to the material. Also looking to try some of those leak proof panties since I usually use liners as back up, but that seems very wasteful and ton’s of unnecessary plastic. Anyone have any preferred types that are comfortable and preferably nice looking?

I came across tampon filled with probiotics : I have not been using tampons for a long time, but not tried cups either. Since I came across these probiotic tampons I am happy girl again. It helps to reclaim a balanced pH down there and has worked great for me, soothing.it is called Ellen (and think it is scandinavian)
Also I came across leakproof undies which are amazing for those of us:
-post-baby and don’t know when periods can come back
-with irregular periods (switching to menopause, or in pre-menopause)
-not wanting to use pads or tampons or cups, or as back-up of them
I did try one month to go “free” but honestly didn’t like the feel ( and laundry involved which not everyone can “afford”)
PS: I am rather not working out during that time of month, I like to follow my cycle and give my body a rest. I used to be more than sluggish and bloated at times. My digestion is totally affected, my appetite, painful (and I try to avoid to take painkillers ,but sometimes it is inevitable)…when I was a teenager I had such cramps…when I was in labor, I realized that my cramps back then were as painful as giving birth, you know…times you don’t even remember your name because of pain 🙁

it is so hard to find the right nutrition because of so many things that come into play. I hope you will be sharing tips to help find what works for each individual.
I had been doing the IBS “washout” and I felt great, then you are meant to bring back food categories back in the diet and see how you react. But that is focused on the 5 sugar FODMAPs…not the macros.

Dear Zuzka,
thanks for the detailed talk on muscle soreness. I’ve been following you for quite a while now and that is exactly what has always prevented me from following the weekly schedule. After most heavy trainings I’m incredibly sore for days on end. Usually at least 3 often 4 days, though in number 4 moving becomes an option again. I’m just someone who always gets sore. Now I’m thinking about decreasing the weights I’m using. Can it be, that I’m just using to heavy weights that my body didn’t adapt to properly and I need to maybe find a more appropriate range of weights for me? I’m a rather petite girl (about 5 foot) and wonder if I shouldn’t aim as high as taller people or take more time to reach there. 🤔
Would love your insight and that of everybody else on the constant soreness.
Thanks in advance everybody and have an awesome day. 😊

Dear Zuzka Light,
Everything is so organized and I feel so unorganized. I don’t remember who I am anymore. After I had my daughter, I lost my sense of individuality.. I started to grow insecure, I started to put on weight and now I’m at my heaviest I’ve ever been in my life. My daughter had heart surgery last January and since then I’ve had to work two jobs to keep the house afloat but sometimes it still doesn’t seem enough. I’m starting to lose my physique and it grows more worrisome that I look like a teenager with less physique than an adult with a balanced and healthy weight who has more developed curves..
I’ve had enough of fast food. But have little to no time or am always too tired to make home cooked meals for myself and my family. I need your help. As a mother, I’m sometimes embarrassed to reach out, but I realize that by letting myself go or letting myself get way too stressed out, it’s ruined my relationship with who I am on the inside.
That is ultimately why I’m coming to you. I’m not a paying customer because I can’t afford it. I don’t have anything I can offer in exchange for your advice, but I wanted to reach out to someone, anyone, before it was too late. I know there is millions of people just like me that maybe have more time and energy and enthusiasm, so I don’t expect a reply. I just wanted to seek advice and motivation.

Hello Bunny love, don’t worry about your physic (I know it is easily said) You are doing the most beautiful thing on earth which is caring for your family. I am so sorry for your daughter and what you had to go through and having to take 2 jobs.
My daughter had a surgery when she was 5 weeks old and we spent 8 weeks in the hospital back then. I was 20kg overweight and didn’t feel good in my skin. I gave myself time (but probably not enough if I look backward), until we were back home and nursing time stopped to try to loose weight. I was then 4 month postpartum. I was still on medical leave so had time, but it was probably too harsh on my body.
Take one step at a time and focus on what matters in the present. I currently do this as I am not so happy in my life and also can’t workout the way I would like to (due to health issues), so need to reset my priorities : what will serve me in the long run ? movement matters, I do all sorts of movements while watching the meals cooking (instead of being on the net), I lift my kids, crawl on the floor, hang on my doorframe, do arm circles, etc), then healthy nutrition as simple as it can be ( I hate cooking), and REST/SLEEP. If you are tired (meaning your physiology is in red zone) pushing is not good, you need to give time to your body to repair from all things you have to do to survive a day.
if you are in Instagram, I recommend following MovNat, NutritiousMovement (katy bowman), RolandDenzel and GalinaDenzel and any feed that promotes practical movement and daytoday healthy life.

She is doing fine. She’s sick right now and so we took her to a cardio lab at the hospital today but overall she’s pretty healthy. It’s just a matter of finding light exercise that she can do without tiring her too much.
