I’ve been working out barefooted for years and love it (I have a clunky jump rope as opposed to a speed rope…so I do those barefoot, too). Actually, I find it very awkward feeling to do workouts with shoes — once a week I work on-site and workout at the office gym…and it’s gotten so that it feels sooooo clunky to have to wear shoes! This makes me happy to hear how healthy it is!! 😀

Ooooooo, my eyes kept getting drawn to that orange tree! Are the oranges you use in your recipes/waters fresh from your tree? I wish they grew well where I live…fresh citrus is so amazing!

I love these recipes you shared with us. They look so good!🤤 basil and parsley are my two favorites!. I am excited to use the herbs in my garden this summer. Do you have a good tabouli recipe? I was so excited about the soupure giveaway. I love soups and used to love juice cleansing until I realized there is way too much sugar in juices. I was super bummed I didn’t win the soupour giveaway. But I rented her book from the library and am excited to read it!
I prefer to work out barefoot except when jump roping. Glad to hear it is healthy for our feet 🙂I love all the health info you share with us. Thank you! But….. Im ready for a “day in the life of” zuzka fix. With doggies and jesse! And maybe an update on clothing line and restocking. I hope the proposal video and other Hawaii blogs will be up soon.
Thank you for all you do
    Xoxoxo

    Hey Zuzka,
Have you ever tried Vibrams for general use? Instead of limiting barefeet to workouts only?
I’ve been doing research on walking barefoot on uneven surfaces to help with back pain. I’ve tried a few bush walks barefoot and it really fires up your stabilising muscles. I really suggest you give it a try 🙂

I workout barefoot, or if shoe needed (winter or JR) I have INOV-8 bare FX, but for outdoors walks and run, I wear minimalist shoes. I use currently Merrell bare access. I would love to try Vivobarefoot but a bit pricey.I did purchase with Betabrand a new design that Vivobarefoot will launch for daily wearing , or for yoga/studio which will be launched in october.
For day-to-day I follow Katy Bowman’s tip for choosing a shoe (as could be any brand) : flat 100%, wide toebox (as in you can wear a toesplitter within shoe) and soft bendable sole.
I follow bunch of people from MovNat and physical therapists on instagram and most use EarthRunners sandals.

I have worn Vibram Fivefingers for 6 years. I used to run 5 days a week in the same pair without socks and developed toenail fungus. Sorry, I know that’s gross, just a warning. 😝 I’ve actually run 3 half marathons in them and lots of 5Ks and 10K. People always thought I was crazy. I still love them especially for water activities and working out at the gym. I love these and thinking of buying them for casual wear. http://us.vibram.com/shop/fivefingers/women/training-fitness/vi-b/W27.html?dwvar_W27_color=Black#start=1 They’re airy and cool looking. I could wear them yearround because it doesnt get cold much here in south Texas. Hope this helps, Ashley. ☺
Oh, I almost forgot…thet don’t hurt bunions. Haha! I have had one on my left foot since my 20s. Hereditary, I guess.

That rosemary lemon drink looks very refreshing. Kind of a recipe junkie and will definitely give this one a try! Also didnt know working out barefoot had its benefits…On another note how would I transition from fat loss to gaining muscle? Gotten great results from your fat loss program and would like to work on building muscle esp on my glutes and legs. Any tips would be helpful. Thanks!

Fabulous recipes! We picked a whole bunch of basil from our garden, I’m excited to make the pesto, and the delicious, refreshing drinks! I hear you on the health benefits of going bare foot. I feel going bare foot also helps to stimulate and “massage” other parts of your body, as various regions of your body are interconnected with the soles of the feet per reflexology. I use shoes to do jump rope workouts though. Being whipped by the rope on the toes can be ruthless! Another great Coffee Talk. I favourited it on Youtube too. 🙂 You are AMAZING. Thank you, thank you for all that you do, Zuzka!

Hello Zuzka! Just one thing makes me concern about barefooted workout. Does not hard stone floor can spoil your posture? I mean that the impact of it is too hard. I would not mind at all to workout on the ground or wooden floor barefooted, but stone…

Zuzka, in the line of barefoot and posture, I would recommend you explore and spread the word about feet/ankle exercices. I follow a bunch of physical therapists that promote those types of exercices on IG, my favorite go-to is the Footcollective. That takes us to the next level of health.
