How to Master: Push Up, Pistol Squat & Stop Procrastinating

    Thanks so much Zuzka for the great tip of using elevation/modification 4x a day to master the pistol squat. In just one week I can now do it from the floor! I was so super excited that I had to post it on instagram (@keemimytrainer if you wanna check it out)…now I just have to work on increasing my reps and trying with weights. As soon as my pull up station arrives, I can’t wait to master pull-ups next! Zuzka-girl, you are bomb!!! πŸ™‚

    Are there specific workout videos on your site fΓΌr newly moms? I’m 7 weeks postnatal and started already with weight training and climbing again. I find it a bit difficult to do core workouts without using my straight stomach muscles. Can you help me with that? Thanks Zuzka

    Hello Zuska! First of i would like to thank you for being such an inspiration and a sweet genuine person. I saw one of your fitness videos when i was 15, and was just inspired to be healthier and active. I never got your name and who you were, but always wondered what happened to that beautiful women who was in such great shape. Then one day 15 years later, i stumbled across your workout videos on youtube! i was estatic. i started to do your workouts on youtube, and almost did them them all when i decided just to join your gym already. im so happy i did! Thank you for making being fit so fun and easy! Im 3 weeks into my fitness journey with you, and ive been seeing amazing results. You rock Zuzka! Love the coffee talks too πŸ™‚

    This is such great teaching! Thank you so much! I am one of those people who can do 10 knee push-ups and usually modifies the pistol squats during workouts. I am really going to work on this and already did my rep for today.
    I was wondering if there is anyway to mark these “non-workout” videos as favorites. That would be super helpful to be able to quickly review this information from time to time. Thank you so much!

    Great advice for push-ups and pistol squats! I can do push-ups, but want to increase my strength and endurance (get consistently low), so will be practicing this daily. I’m a beginner on pistol squats – can’t wait to get better using this method. Thank you!

    PS: OUTSTANDING video on the steps that ANYONE can take to work up to doing regular PUSHUPS and PISTOL SQUATS….which can be overwhelming for beginnings to get! And LOVED your PROCRASTINATION COFFEE TALK!!!

    Hi Zuzka,
    Great tips for push up. This is exactly my problem!
    Try this with yoga bloc.
    But when I do one of your workouts where there are push up to do, must I continue to do them on the knees, until I progress? O I can try one with yoga bloc and other on my knees?

      You can choose which ever you want. Just please remember this was an old post and now I recommend a push up on your knees without crossing your feet ever and emphasising on squeezing your glutes. Also you want to start in the plank, then go down onto your belly, then squeeze your glutes and push up with your knees on the ground. I hope this makes sense and I will post a new video on push ups and the progression soon in the mob therapy, so check back.
