Sunscreen Giveaway and Recently Asked Questions
Blog | July 18, 2016
You guys have been asking me what type of sunscreen I use so I took that opportunity to do another fun Giveaway, and introduce you to one of my favorite products. You may have heard that sunscreen is the only real anti-aging cream, which is probably true, however not all sunscreens have been created equal. It’s not only about the SPF number. Just because you buy SPF 30 doesn’t mean your skin will be safe. It’s also important to consider the ingredients and chemicals that the sunscreen contains, because some of those could react when exposed to sun light and become carcinogenic. I use a sunscreen mineral moisturizer from DeVita Skincare, rated as one of the safest sun protections on the market, and you have the chance to win this product if you enter the contest!
Watch the video if you want to get the chance to win, listen carefully to the question and enter the right answer into the Rafflecopter widget bellow. ZGYM members will have advantage of course because you guys are familiar with my workout programs. Non members can still find the answer with a little bit of poking around the website. Don’t forget to include your email and your shipping address. All of your info will be safe and not visible to the public eye. Good luck!
I have also answered one of the most common questions I get – what keeps me motivated to stay in shape and keep improving my fitness level. It’s not because I like extreme adventures, or because I want to win a bikini competition. I don’t even have the desire to be the next American Ninja Warrior or to win the Spartan race (even though I’m a fan of the shows and I like to watch them). My reasons are way more simple than that…as I have already explained in the video. Thank you again for being a huge part of my motivation!
P.S. I will announce the winner this Friday on my Facebook and Instagram so make sure to stay tuned.

WOW another fun giveaway! Thank you for sharing your motivators and doing the giveaway, Zuzka!
The drawing your friend’s daughter drew was so cute! I also completely agree that what creams and products we apply to our skin and hair is extremely important.
I greatly admire the mothers here on Zgym. They are like super heroes…working out, working and/or keeping house in order and being mothers.
I am not a mother, but my boyfriend does have a 12 year old daughter though. I have been introducing her to my mini gym including the sliding discs, swiss ball (she helped me pump the air into it) and the GoFit bands. We will do stretching together including the splits. Hers are way better than mine, but that doesn’t stop me from trying lol
Mothers are super influential with exercise. I highly believe that since I did exercise videos and went walking for a 2-3 miles with my mom as a child it instilled in me this love for exercise I have had all my life. If I don’t workout, I downright get grumpy.

Love your videos!
I have also been wondering: do you visit a chiropractor or have you found the postural therapy routines negate the need to go to one?

The postural therapy routines have been really helping me to keep pain free. It’s amazing, I recommended to everyone, everywhere I go 🙂

Thanks for answering! 🙂
I have recommended this series to a bunch of people but if I actually stay consistent with the postural therapy routines I could probably be walking proof instead of just talking it up. haha…

What a fun blog entry! Love the update from you life. While I’m at it, could you please reveal where bikini #3 from your last giveaway was from? Is it the one you’re wearing in this video?
Second…I don’t mean to be an annoying hair-splitter, but which chemicals in sunscreen are you talking about? I don’t mean to offend, but I am sometimes driven crazy by people talking about “toxins in the body” and “chemicals” without any discrimination. Although this DeVita sunscreen contains many ingredients that are really good for your skin, it does not comply with either FDA or global INCI cosmetics regulations in terms of supplying broad-spectrum protection (it hasn’t been approved by the FDA as an effective UVA/UVB barrier), nor does it have any legit preservation ingredients (to keep it from being contaminated with mold or bacteria). My point is, chemicals aren’t always bad, and “natural” isn’t always great. Please inform yourselves, people. Over and out 🙂

Thank you. The bikini #3 from the fashion haul were from American Eagle.
If you don’t mean to offend, then don’t use sentences such as “please inform yourself, people”. I don’t mean to offend you, but.. blablabla. So Paula, I don’t mean to offend you either, but it’s not a new information, that many sunscreens out there do contain harmful chemicals and if you need to inform yourself better, then here you go: https://www.ewg.org/sunscreen/about-the-sunscreens/661576/DeVita_Natural_Skin_Care_Solar_Protective_Moisturizer%2C_SPF_30/

I’m sorry, I really didn’t mean to upset anyone. I’ll keep my opinions to myself in the future.

Paula, don’t do that just try to be less aggressive. I personally agree with you. I hate it when people say stuff like “it has chemicals in it” meaning whatever it is has chemicals that do harm. Everything is made of chemicals! I personally love Dihydgen Monoxide (DHMO) even though it’s used as an industrial solvent, in the coolant systems of Nuclear Reactors, by elite athletes to improve performance and even in the production of Styrofoam! I realize how dangerous DHMO is but I still drink it! Even in small quantities inhalation of liquid DHMO can cause death, prolonged exposure to solid DHMO causes severe tissue damage and gaseous DHMO can cause severe burns!!! 🙂

I am also sorry too Paula. Didn’t mean for any contention. I understand now. Have fun in the Zgym and have a great day. 🙂 <3

This second comment seems mean-spirited.
You don’t know what everyone’s ‘discrimination’ is, or their reasons for choosing more healthy, sustainable options.
If you would like, Paula, I can provide information on real life experience being very close to death and then healing from eliminating as many toxic chemical products as possible. Living proof.
The FDA is not God or innate intelligence or unbiased science.
I am compassionately holding a mirror to your ‘inform yourself people’ comment.
Hope everyone is having a beautiful day!

Lot of baby wet wipes have phenoxyehanol. I found even orgánic wipes with this sh*t. (there are toxic ingredientes in them, but the áloe vera is orgánic…such a hypocrisy!!) So for me just because is “approved”, doesn’t mean is good for you. We should always look the ingredients and do our own research

Z, you would definitely win a bikini competition; it wouldn’t even be fair to everyone else.

Hi everyone, I would love to use cosmetics and other products that are 100% natural what I know is quite difficult to find. Zuzka has told us about Burt’s bees brand and I have been using their facial creams for a while, it is too good and I can see the difference on my skin clearly! As everything in life, we have a chance to select what we want to use and this is a personal choice. Let us respect each other opinions! See you all, take care.

Hi Zuzka,
Thanks for another great give-away and the fun answers. I don’t usually leave comments (it’s just not my thing), but I felt moved to do so today. I’ve been a dedicated Zgym member for over a year and a half now (although I started doing your free Youtube work outs a few years prior to that). Last fall I told my aunts all about you, and now all three of them are Zgym members too! They live in different cities, but actually get up and do your workouts together via Skype. I workout with them sometimes too. I’m glad that we (the Zgym community) motivate you, because you sure motivate us. 🙂 And it isn’t just because you are so damn fit. I think your warm and authentic personality is just as motivating. Keep being you – you’re great.
Finally, thanks for the info on the sunscreen. It is hard to find a nice natural brand without chemicals. The one I use is from a Canadian brand called “The Green Beaver Company.” For people who have the time you can make your own sunscreen: http://www.diynatural.com/homemade-sunscreen/
