I love to get magazines where I learn something new. I do a lot of art and jewelry design, so I love something that teaches new techniques or provides inspiration for new pieces!

I never buy magazines any more. I used to write for them, and I would buy dozens at a time to study them and become familiar with the editorial staff. The more I read, the more I realized that, with few exceptions, most articles are recycled information we all already know. Or they’re misleading just to get your attention, i.e. “Getting Drunk is Good For You!!” or some such stupidity. I buy books if I want to read.
