does the lemon have to be fresh or can it be bottled?

definitely fresh because the bottled stuff is filled w/ preservatives to give it a longer shelf life and the vitamin C in bottle lemon juice is destroyed during the processing.

I agree with you that fresh lemons are the right choice – BUT, I have to disagree about the thesis that the Vitamin C is destroyed during the processing.
Vit C is nothing else than ascorbic acid and that is quite resistant. It’s (basically) the stuff that makes the lemon so sour.

Thank you for this tips. I have most of them except hemp and Flaxseed. Have you also heard about the benefits of sunflower seed. I googled it vs almond. Please let me know what you think. How do you “eat” the cayenne pepper? I have wanted to incorporate that, but am not sure how to use it.

lightly sprinkle it over eggs, sandwiches, your soup, any meal actually! Just a pinch, will only make you feel the heat, the more you add the more the heat and taste 🙂

I had some almonds this morning in a “milkshake” (almond milk, almond butter, frozen banana). Do you think cinnamon would go in there well?

I’m so interested in hemp seeds, I’ve never tried them before. I think I’ll go investigate the health store in town and see if it carries them. Thanks, great post!
