Just wondered if anyone who is doing this has found the recipes difficult to put together or are they quick and easy to do. I am nervous that they’ll take a lot of prep. Also does the program have info for you to work out what your calorie intake should be etc?

There is guidance on how to eat the right calories for you by observing hunger levels and eating intuitively.
The recipes are fairly straightforward, with only a few ingredients + seasonings. Some take a little more prep, but nothing too time consuming or difficult. The nice thing is some recipes yield 2 portions, saving time later.

Try Walmart you will probably have to ask for it as they keep them behind the counter. Hope this is helpful.

I will keep looking and let you know if I find something:) I did buy the keto diet but plan to follow exactly as laid out and possibly use the urine strips for now. I really wanted the blood tests (as more accurate) for when I completed the 2 months to experiment a bit on my own.

Good news! I was able to get the ketone blood monitoring system at Walmart behind the counter. At first they said they didn’t have it but I seen it lol. The brand I got is Freestyle precision now. Does glucose and ketone. $30 dollars for the kit so not terribly priced:) hope you can find this:)

Queenann22 hey I just wanted to give you an update as I’m super excited! Today was day 5 keto and did my first blood test and I’m 3.2. So happy I got there:) now I’ll work on bringing it down some. I didn’t seem to get any of the flu symptoms either. 1 day I was more tired than normal but nothing crazy. I feel great now. Let me know how you’re making out.

Wow that’s great! I still need to find the monitor, I’ll go to Walmart next Tuesday. Should I ask at the counter for the monitor? Hope they got it! I travel a lot for work and it has been difficult to adapt for that reason, but I did my best to find the right food yesterday. I’ll have better news next week!

My Walmart has it behind the counter. I had to ask but they didn’t know what I was talking about and said they didn’t have it. So maybe make sure u ask for the glucose monitors then look for the one that does both glucose and keto. Mine didn’t come with any strips had to buy those seperate. But make sure u get the keto strips not glucose:)

    Hi Zu!
As I am very lean and I eat really healthy (low carb) and workout daily, I don´t have extra weight i would like to lose. But I would like to have flat belly. When I try to cut down calories my butt desappears… 🙁 So I wonder if keto diet would help me …? I don´t want to choose between belly and butt!! should it help me?? If yes, is it something permanent or just the 8 weeks??
    thanks ahead.

What do you mean by a flat belly? Is it belly fat or a distended stomach?
I found that first time I did Keto (for a solid month) my belly flattened (no more bloating), and as long as I ate high fat low carb it stayed that way. The reason for this is that fat is lubricating and stimulates bile, which helps move digestion quicker and I wasn’t getting “backed up” or “gassy.”
I also worked hard on growing a butt and shrinking my waist the last few years. Zuzka’s glute workouts with a sufficient amount of protein does the trick.

        Thanks Esther.
I think it would be bloating…as I wake up with a flat stomach but it tends to grow as the hours go by.
How’d it go with the waist and butt thing? Do you have any tricks? They really are my obsession because I am very thin but without curves…. 🙁

Is that an engagement ring I see?? I might have been behind and didn’t see you announce anything (or maybe you didn’t announce it). If so, congratulations!

I’ve been off birth control for almost three years, and have been tracking how everything affects my cycle. Maybe I’ll learn more once I get my IIN cert started. I’m wondering what keto is going to do for me. I might try it after our race – my husband and I are about to start training for a half marathon. Have you seen anything about keto’s effects on women specifically?

What time of day is everyone testing and how many times?

Also anyone got any suggestions to replace the artichoke meal? I can’t find them and I am supposed to have this for lunch. I don’t like them either. Any suggestions appreciated.

Haven’t seen “desserts” yet: I made a chocolate mousse yesterday : 1 ripe avocado, 1 pack of stevia, 2 tbsp of cocoa powder (version with fat) and coconut cream (about a table spoon) : in magic bullet and there you go. could try with vanilla to make it more sweet to taste bugs next time.I
I was still able to get from 0.9 to 2.0 mmol/L overnight 🙂

I’m sure this has been answered but
Can’t find it…I purchased 2 meal plans in the
Last few months and got the $20 coupons twice. How do I go about using them for my monthly zgym payments?

I am really interested in trying this diet plan but I have one hesitation/question. The thing is I don’t eat beef, at all and no pork. I eat dairy just don’t like the taste of beef and do not eat pork. Is this heavy in those items? Can I substitute with chicken or turkey?

This meal plan is not heavy in beef and there’s no pork at all. There are a few recipes that ask for ground beef but you can substitute with ground chicken and you can always add a little bit of fat (oil, butter) to match the fat content in beef.
