The Best Morning Drink For Health and Weight Loss

What is your favorite beverage in the morning? Is it coffee or tea? I love both, but I decided to start my days with a healthy drink from now on. That doesn’t mean that I am giving up on coffee and tea, however it is very important what goes into your system first thing in the morning. That’s why Im starting my days with lemon water. It’s nothing complicated and the benefits are huge. You will need a freshly squeezed juice from 1/2 of a lemon, and 8oz of warm or room temperature water. Squeeze the lemon into the water and if you want you can also add fresh mint. That’s what I do, because I have a fresh mint herb in my kitchen and I am always happy whenever I get the chance to use it.

Here are the benefits of drinking lemon water in the morning on an empty stomach:

1. Lemon water will help you cleanse your body of toxins, which is going to show on your skin. Lemons are full of skin rejuvenating and anti-aging properties.
2. Lemon water will improve your digestion. The lemon juice will activate the production of bile in your digestive system and when combined with warm water, it will flush out un-welcomed stuff out of your body and help with bloating and heartburn.
3. Lemon water eliminates headaches.
4. Lemon water fights infections. The high amount of vitamin C in lemons is a very powerful way to for fighting illnesses.
5. Lemon water helps with weight loss. Lemons are full of pectin fiber, which will regulate your hunger levels.

    My favourite beverage in the morning is a tea made of ginger, turmeric, lemon and honey ๐Ÿ˜€ lovely!

    Thank you Zuzka for your precious and healthy advices!! here another alternative for tea is Saffron tea.
    Use: 3 to 4 strands of Saffron, a little Honey and water.
    Put the saffron in a cup with a little warm water and leave for 10 minutes. After 10 minutes, pour boiling water over it and add a little honey to taste. Please give a try!!!

    I always start my day with a plain cup of water as soon as I wake up (I’m always thirsty at that point) but you’re right, I’ll start giving the lemon (add) a try ๐Ÿ˜‰

    I had low blood pressure, so coffee is a must, but I guess I can have them both. I like also cucumber water with a mint and basil and some lemon ๐Ÿ™‚ Have a nice day warriorZ ๐Ÿ™‚

    i do a slightly different combination. I boil water, add a tea bag (any flavour) and 1.5tbsp of gogi berries. Let them sit for 5 minutes, then add the juice from a whole lemon, shake in some cayenne, add a touch of maple syrup and drink.

    I usually have green smoothies in the morning . I will for sure try this also. Never drink coffee but can’t live without tea!
