I would go for half of the pizza half of the veggies. That way you get the most satisfaction. You changed the way you talk in coffee talks lately. Feels like a different format/presentation style.

I am little confused about it. Because my body really adapt on how often I eat. If I eat 6 portion a day, next days I feel hungry “on time”. When I eat 2-3 meals a day, in next days I dont feel hunger so often. My body really adapt very quickly.
But what I’m sure, is that if I dont eat every 2-3 hours, miss some snacks ect., I’m getting fat really quickly. I know that about my body.
Paradoxically, when I eat more “calories” but often, small portions, I feel and I am leaner.
A was also trying low carb diet, but after some days I feel extremely weak with no energy. Every workout is just killing me, cant take a breath. (But my body is gettin in shape, yes)…Last two days I ate some carbs and I was like a superwoman, haha …
I really cant find “my diet” and sometimes it’s just make me feel desperate.
I workout 5 days a week and still have belly for years…

Hi Veru, I also tried low carb diet and felt low in energy, so I’m not sure this is the diet for me… I bought Zuska meal plan, so I’ll give it a last try (that way I’m sure I’m doing it right) and then I’ll see. I think that in the end you should listen to your body (Z says the same thing), and if you feel your energy levels are low, maybe add some healthy carbs ( my problem is that I make poor choices for snacks and in my social life, lol, I hope the plan will help with that). Lastly, have you tried an elimination diet? Maybe you have some food allergies and therefore you still have belly but this is from inflammation? The whole 30 diet is a good elimination diet you can find online. Good luck 😊

Zuzka, can I ask you something? If you wake up in the morning and don´t feel hungry at all, do you skip breakfast? Do you skip any meals if you are not hungry? I tend to not be hungry in the morning, even if I ate little or a lot before bedtime. Same thing every morning. I guess my body just don´t want food in the morning.

Yes absolutely, I don’t force myself to eat. There’s no harm in skipping meals, and breakfast is not the most important meal of the day. We’re all individuals and should listen to our body. If you’re not hungry, don’t force yourself. Make sure to drink a big glass of water in the morning to re-hydrate yourself and give it some time before you eat. Your body will tell you when it’s a good time.

Great coffee talk!! Awareness/mindfulness are key but do take time to make a habit. Have a question regarding shift work and eating. I work three nights 6p to 6a then switch back to a normal day schedule on the other 4 days. i do make sure to get 7-8 hours of sleep and drink about 3L of water per day, but the flip flopping reeks havoc on my body (and all others who work these types of shifts). They say it automatically ages us and stresses our bodies. I would think your same principles apply. i am a mindful eater but on the nights i work I’m often not hungry. i know i can’t go the entire night without food; i do try to snack, but sometimes feel I’m forcing myself to eat. Was curious of your opinion on the idea that our metabolism stay slow at night even when we are awake or if this idea holds true? Would love to hear your thoughts, ideas, suggestions. Been following you since 2012 and absolutely love everything about you, what you stand for and put out there for others!!! Appreciate your hard work!!

I really appreciate your videos Z. Your focus on low-carb has helped me immensely in managing my type 1 diabetes. I wanted to thank you for the information in your book 15 Minutes to Fit, I re-read and used your recipes for my meals this week. When food and exercise seem overwhelming, you always have the right answer and it’s easy to follow.
I’m a bit curious to know if you ever have experienced hypoglycemia before, when blood sugar drops below a healthy level to become a bit painful. If you have, would you mind sharing how you treated it? Being diabetic my blood sugar drops all the time, and that is the only time I have trouble staying away from refined carbohydrates and sugars, because it’s what the body craves when that happens, especially when you’re out and not at home where you could grab something healthy like a piece of fruit. The refined carbohydrates tend to help pick blood sugar up so the pain goes away, but blood sugar rises too high and its pretty bad for the body. It’s so cool that you’re getting training in holistic nutrition I plan to do the same. Thank you again your advice is priceless.
