Late night snacking seems to be one of the most common things that holds people back from reaching their fitness goals a lot faster. My best advice is to avoid late night snacks all together but it’s easier said than done, and I would lie if I said I never snack at night. So here are my 5 healthy late night snacks that are low in calories and sugar and extremely satisfying. If you don’t want to break a bad habit, at least be smart and stick to food that won’t sabotage all of your efforts to stay lean and healthy.

So true Zuzka and I think this is the problem for so many people, you do great the entire day and then when evening comes along and u are sitting watching tv or unwinding you get these cravings and walk into the kitchen and pantry at every commercial.. Lol… I have to hide the Nutella in my downstairs kitchen and can’t keep it in the upstairs (main kitchen). I find lately it’s the peanut butter or almond butter I get the spoon to and then it makes me feel uncomfortable 😒these are wonderful snack ideas for sure :))).. Thank u for this super cute video and sharing your meals

For me a huge help for late night snacking is to floss my teeth and brush. I do this after dinner and then my desire to snack at night usually goes away, since I dont want to have to floss and brush again. If that doesnt work, then I will make a cup of hot herbal tea to sip. These two methods have almost completely stopped my urge to late night snack. Of course, special occasions like girls night or movie night usually call for a snack and in the future I will test out these great snacking recipes by Z!

I really appreciate this. I actually bought some sour cream and blueberries to try this out. I don’t have much of a sweet tooth, so I don’t think I’ll need sweetener. If anything, some coconut oil in there for more rich flavor. Love it! Also love the artichokes with dip idea!

I just like to pop olives. I’ve been trying to keep more olives on hand, all different kinds, from the olive bar at a local natural foods store. So satisfying.

Yesterday I finally got around to making the blueberry snack. Wow, it is a great idea, Zuzka. I much preferred your sour cream version in this video. I used plain sour cream and a spoonful of vanilla whey powder, mainly because I didn’t have vanilla extract, and I also wanted to add protein to the snack! I also used one teaspoon of local honey, because I think it is extremely healthy and based in food and health traditions. Anyway, it came out good and tasty. Only think is that my little blueberry balls didn’t stay formed. Oh well. I waited til they were more frozen and reshaped them. I think it would help if you froze the tray and wax or parchment paper first.

I’m grateful for this sour cream version because I’m very casein sensitive, and it is a low casein dairy product that I love to eat. Adding whey to it made it a better consistency for this recipe, and added high quality protein.

    It tasted amazing!
