Apple Celery Salad (FM)

*Makes 1 Portion

FM/WEM Meals

Ingredients
1 apple, chopped
3-4 celery stalks, chopped
1 tbsp vegan mayo (or goat kefir or greek yogurt if you’re not a Vegan)
2 tsp lemon juice
1 tsp grated lemon zest
2 tbsp pecan pieces
salt & pepper

Instructions

Combine all ingredients in a medium size bowl and season with salt & pepper to taste.

Carbs: 33.7 g
Net Carbs: 24.7 g
Fat: 14.2 g
Protein: 2 g

    Hi zuzka…..do you have an advice? i struggle with night eatingwhat means all day long everything is perfect….eating small portion and healthy food is no problem, working out is fun…but at night i get up from bed…go downstairs and eat everything i can find. itĀ“s like i sabbotage myself….and i really hate myself for this…..do you have a tip?

      Is it because you get hungry at night or do you think it’s connected to emotional eating? If it’s the latter, then you really want to get in touch with what’s happening inside. Once you can identify the emotion that’s happening inside that makes you want to get up and eat, you’ll be able to deal with it in a different way. Next time you feel like getting up, and go eat, try to pause for a few minutes and breathe and just notice what thoughts come up. Maybe your mind is racing and you’re anxious about your work, or other problems you have to deal with… However, I really don’t want you to hate yourself. It happens to everyone. I do that too sometimes and I think I’m pretty good when it comes to eating habits, but we’re all just human beings, and can’t be always 100% in control. If you give yourself these negative messages it will only get worse and it can cause more problems. If your child had this problem you wouldn’t tell her you hate her for that. You would try to be understanding and supportive, and you deserve the same reaction from yourself.

        She might also drink some water to see if it’s really that she is hungry or not. If it is real hunger and you are eating dense foods late at night try fillers like popcorn and water instead. Maybe revaluation your last meal of the day. It might not have what you actually need to get you through till breakfast.

        Thank you so much!!! i think it happens when i`m stressed and anxious about doing everything right…and than itĀ“s often very hard to take a breathe and wait. but last 2 nights it went well and i`m proud. youĀ“re right, selflove is so important….iĀ“m working on that point. thank you for answering me..it means so much! ….i think iĀ“m going on and i will handle it! have i great day! xoxo šŸ™‚

          You might also check your blood sugar when this is happening at night…blood sugar is generally at itā€™s lowest in early morning before rising. Just a thought, it could be a hormonal imbalance.

    At first I read Apple Cherry salad..read the ingredients and was like uh Z..there’s no cherry in this haha woooops.. Celery šŸ˜ Not cherry..
    it’s basically like my chicken salad but no onion or chicken obviously. Looks delish!!

      No, but I’ve been following plant based diet for a while in order to gain a personal experience on top of my knowledge so that I can put together a really good plant based meal plan.
