not sure as it is labeled FM/Wem, so maybe she meant to give additional options that would make it WEM? That little bit of honey would not do it. Hmmm

Hi dear…avocado is super high in calories…full of good fats but very caloric…honey is high in sugar and cocoa powder high in carbs so everything makes is WEM. Not a free meal surely. See you and take care.

          Hi sweety,

Her 2 tbsp of honey amount to 34g of carbs – low carb diet is usually 60-100g of carbs…For an active person such as yourself should not be a problem the 34g of carbs which if you make it WEM will be much much needed to rebuild your muscles (the honey is the only thing I see that could make it WEM, as you suspected).
Cocoa powder is by NO means a high carb food – it is 32% carbs, with 12% of carbs in the 32% being dietary fiber…which means 20% net carb content. 1 tbsp of unsweetened cocoa has 17 calories in total (1/4 cup which is 4 tablespoons is 68 calories, with 4.4 grams of net carbs….again 4.4 grams)….So, with the honey and cocoa you would get to 38.4 g of carbs…..Mind you the daily recommended carb intake for a 2000 calories diet is between 225 to 325…if you are not doing low carb….
The reason why I included all this info is so that you can see how calculating and counting macros is a bit counterproductive…You look super fit and healthy…I think intuitive eating like Z does would work great for you…When she labels her foods in terms of WEM and FM she does so generally to give you an idea…Hope this helps! And please don’t think of food in terms of high in fat and fattening….it leads to EDs…I have witnessed this in highschool girls I teach and friends…Think of food in positive terms such as fuel for your body and pleasant flavours…I don’t know if this helps…but that’s how I always reason things…:-)

Yes, it’s the two tablespoons of honey. That’s about 35 grams of pure sugary carbs (no fiber) that are best utilized by muscles that have just been worked. What you can’t use immediately will only get stored.

I think that if you were to substitute the honey with something like erythritol, it would be FM. But I think honey is very healthy and much less impactful on the body than other sources of sugar. Real honey (real, not fake) is so much more than just sugars. It’s so good for us. I would probably give it a 1/2WEM haha.

Maybe the combination of avocadoes plus honey? If you’re super low carb it could be considered WEM…

Hi Z, Is this considered a WEM because of the honey or does it depend on what fitness level you’re at?
