Haven’t been doing smoothies for a while. Your ideas are inspiring. I’m writing these ingredients on my next grocery list right now…I might make it with some creamy ricotta cheese instead of greek yogurt.

    Mmmm and add cardamom….

Cinnamon and cardomom are very medicinal. In TCM they are used to tonify Heart and Kidney Yang, warm the channels, transform dampness, which in plain English (haha) means they are EXCELLENT to eat with dairy and higher fat foods, as they aid digestion (cardomon really helps to digest and absorb fats!) support metabolism, healthy blood circulation, support the adrenals, etc. There is a reason people with heart disease are recommended cinnamon, but honestly, I think it should not be taken out of its traditional context (which it has been…). Anyway, nice recipe!

      Thanks Francesca!
I love learning about the medicinal properties of ingredients that we can combine and easily incorporate into our everyday lives. My kids’ favorite is raw honey and cinnamon. Great info & great recipe.

I tried it dry and it was really OK…the only bits that were left in chunks were ice cubes. The rest was really smooth ( I have a high power blender)

I know. I know. It’s just when I was a kid and that was the breakfast I would be so disappointed. I like bagel and cream cheese day and burrito day. LOL.
