Low Carb Shepherd's Pie (FM)

*Yields 6 small portions or 3 large portions (macros based on 6 small)
Ingredients
1 lb organic grass fed ground beef
1 1/2 heads of cauliflower, trimmed cut into florets and steamed until soft
1 cup beef base (or a chicken broth)
1/2 lb bacon cut into 1/2 inch slices
2 cups diced celery
2 cups diced carrots
2 tbsp olive oil x 2
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp freshly ground pepper
Instructions
- Heat up 2 tbsp olive oil in a large frying pan over medium/high
- Saute onion for about 3 minutes
- Add the bacon pieces and cook for 7 minutes
- Add carrots and celery to the same pan and saute for another 7 minutes
- Add ground beef and saute until brown
- Season with salt and pepper
- Add the cup of beef base (or chicken broth) and cook until 60% of the liquid evaporates
- Place the steamed cauliflower in a food processor with the remaining 2 tbsp olive oil and blend until smooth
- Pour ground beef mixture into a 9×13 inch baking dish
- Pour mashed cauliflower over the beef into an even layer and smooth with a spatula
- Bake at 350F degree for 30 minutes.

I am trying to get my partner to eat healthy along with me, so in terms of the portion sizes for your recipes is this roughly the same for both males and females?

It always depends on hight and weight (also within gender) , but Suzana roughly doubles the portion sizes for males.
