Low Carb Simple Brownies (FM)

Recipes | July 28, 2016

LowCarbBrownies_post

*yields a lot of portions – I’ve had these for like a week and a half. I kept them in the fridge and warmed them up every morning for breakfast. Their really delicious.

Ingredients:
1 1/2 cup almond flour
3/4 cup Swerve
3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 cup cream cheese
1/4 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
Non stick coconut oil spray (or butter)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350F
  2. Spray a small baking sheet with the coconut oil spray (or grease it with butter).
  3. In a medium size bowl mix the almond flour, swerve, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Then add the vanilla extract and mix.
  4. Add the cream cheese and use your hands to work it into the almond flour mixture until you form a dough.
  5. Press the dough into the greased baking sheet. Your brownies should be about an inch tall.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for about 18 minutes. The dough will be still very soft when you take it out of the oven, so you have to let it cool down before you start slicing.

Oh My Friggin Wow! Guys, and Z, the final result was SO good I had to come back for a follow up comment. These brownies and super rich and heavenly velvety as they are 😍😍😍😍😍 However I sliced a square piece in half sideways(horizontally) and then I spread some coconut cream in the middle so it was like an Oreo cake.

This made for one super indulgent rich and delicious cake experience. Highly recommended 👌

I just bought Swerve from Amazon. What exactly IS it? I know it’s a sugar substitute but what is it? Can’t wait to make these!

erythritol (glucose that fermented, so its sugar alchol) and oligosaccharides. these are chemicals, not a whole food source

I made these and they are ok but not great. The cream cheese made them taste kind of sour. I will eat them as I don’t like wasting food but unlikely to make them again.

I made these two days ago, and I am enjoying them! I may try using powdered swerve or blending my granulated swerve to make it slightly smoother. I love the taste of them and restraining myself to only 1 a day! I love dessert with cream cheese.

they’re are bomb. I substitute a lot of ingredients because I need to follow a autoimmune protocol, but even then everything works fine and it’s delicious! 🙂

Surprisingly, these are really good! I don’t care for brownies in general, but I was craving something sweet and this seemed easy to make… Will make it again for sure!
