Recipes | July 14, 2016
*Makes 1 Bar
Ingredients:
1/4 cup almond flour
2 heaping tbsp crunchy peanut butter
3 tbsp Swerve (erythritol)
2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
2 tbsp chocolate whey protein powder
2 tbsp unsweetened almond milk
1 tbsp shredded coconut (optional)
Instructions:
- In a medium size bowl add together the almond flour, whey protein powder, cocoa powder, and Swerve. Mix well.
- In a smaller bowl mix the peanut butter and one tbsp almond milk until combined into a soft paste.
- Add the peanut butter mixture to the almond flour mixture and use fork to mix. Add the other tbsp of almond milk and mix until you get a sticky dough.
- Transfer the dough onto a small piece of parchment paper – fold the paper over the dough so that every side of the dough is covered and press down on the dough as needed to form a bar. You can sprinkle the top with shredded coconut.
- Leave the bar wrapped in the parchment paper and keep it in the freezer.

This looks awesome! But I don’t have chocolate whey protein. Anyway… It’ll be banana strawberry peanut bar. 😁
Zu, could you take a photo of ingredients you use and maybe intermediate photos while you are cooking? It’ll be very useful to check how it has to look in any steps. 😊

I understand, but I barely find the time to come up with and post new recipes. It would be really time consuming. Maybe one day when I can afford to hire someone to get some of the workload off my shoulders 🙂

You need hide cameras in your kitchen. ☺
And they will transmit online. 👆An idea! Open periscope when you cook. 🙂

Just made it! Licked the spoon and takes great! 🙂 Made with almond butter though as I didn’t have peanut butter. The final product didn’t really have much flavor when using almond butter. I think peanut butter would definitely be better.

How many bars does that recipe yield? Just one?

That depends on your own daily food intake and caloric need. I use this bar just as a snack so I’d normally have just a half. If I wanted to replace a whole meal with this bar, I would eat the whole thing.
