Simple, Sweet and Tart Blueberry Snack (FM)

Recipes | January 25, 2016

BlueberrySnack

This recipe is VERY easy and simple.  You can easily make these and keep in your freezer for a quick, go-to snack.

Ingredients:
6 ounce pack of fresh blueberries
6 ounce container of greek yogurt (I used vanilla)

Instructions:

  1. In a small bowl, pour the blueberries then top with yogurt and stir to coat evenly.
  2. One at a time pick the blueberries out and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  3. Let freeze for a minimum of 45 minutes (keep stored in freezer until ready to eat)

Hi Z, just a quick question about the yogurt and sour cream you use in your recipes, whats the percentage of fat?… So for the greek yogurt would it be 2% or 0%… and for the sour cream is it 2% or 14% etc… please me know so I can start cookin’…:)

Is the yogurt sweetened? I don’t recall ever seeing vanilla yogurt that isn’t sweetened somehow.

    This looks heavenly!

looks simple and yummy…but picking one at a time…mmh, might not be that patient.
I may lay them simply on the paper, freeze and them crack them to separate. Obviously they won’t be that round and nice 🙂

The other day I was craving some M&M’s and I did this by coating dark chocolate around peanuts I had on hand. ..and I did the above. Needless to say I ate all in one go. Dark chocolate and peanuts…that is a good recipe to get constipated for a few days, ha, ha! just add banana on top and say goodbye to bathroom for the week (lol)

I used plain greek yogurt instead of vanila because thats what I had. I added a small bit of agave to make up for the missing sweetness but it didnt take enough of that tangy-ness for my taste. I will have to try again with the vanilla.

My dog on the other hand loves the tangy ones and runs over every time I open the freezer to beg for some 🙂
