Workout Schedule for the Week of January 5th
Workout Schedules | January 04, 2015
Hi guys,
I know it’s the 5th already, but for me it’s the actual beginning of this year. Jesse and I have not even celebrated the new year yet together, because we were just too sad about Smallz. The past week was just getting by with everything and getting used to not having him around.
I have to admit that my healthy eating habits have completely vanished in grief, and I actually reached for foods that have not been part of my diet for years. I feel bad, but now I see how people can fall off track. To some, all it takes is a little bit of stress at work, and to others, it’s a bigger tragedy such as death of their loved ones that throws them off. I guess it depends on your own threshold, and mine is far up thanks to years of a healthy lifestyle. That said, I do understand how easy it can be to give in to bad, yet deceivingly comforting processed foods. I’m back to normal again and actually really excited for the new year and all that is in front of us. I can’t wait to be sharing new healthy recipes and awesome workouts with you guys. I’d love to get your feedback and suggestions for the new workouts or workout series in the ZGYM.

Glad you are feeling better. Take comfort in those around you and what you love to do. The loss of an animal companion is very difficult to deal with and it will take some time. On a different note, I must say I was sort of tickled to not see a pistol workout this week and pumped about to KB, tabata, and a 5 minute workout. I am so anxious to start this week…no pistols!! And then think wait a minute something must be up. I know this is going to be a tough week, yep it’s gonna be awesome!

She got ya by sneaking in pistols in the KB workout! Personally, I can’t do them yet (don’t know if I’ll ever be able to because of bum hips) so I did goblet squats instead. 🙂

Hey Z, great you are feeling a bit better, dont worry about the food, my bf came from France to celebrate X-mas and New Year’s Day and with him by my side it was sooo hard and impossible to eat right. And of course I gained some weight 😀 So lets go honey, we’re gonna get back on the right track together. Hope you feel both a bit better … each day should be healing you, at least a bit. Have a nice day.

Hi Zuzka! I also felt off the track for this last week.. I guess very emotional periods are hard to overcome without losing some control.. I also feel bad about indulging so much this past fews days, but I guess we have to focus on good days and amazing feelings to come. You help me feel amazing and I thank you a lot for that!
Keep strong!

Dear Zuzka, I was encouraged by your post and am glad you and Jessie are feeling a bit better. I am looking forward to the workout line up this week. Do you think you could if possible align your food intake for the workout day with the nutrition section you have with the date on them so I can copy it – slight variation depending on available ingredients etc. I’m sorry I am not that good at describing my thoughts. However this would be very helpful. I am so deeply Thankful. T.

I’m sorry for your loss Zuzka. Re: new workout series, I personally, would love to get into strength training routines. In addition to your cardio and body weights workouts, a weights only routine targeting specific body parts would be awesome ( leg day one week and upper body diff week) because let’s face it, we can’t possibly get your amazing arms and shoulders ( and butt ofciurse :)) w/ out doing some serious strength training 🙂 thank you!

I’m glad you are feeling a bit better Zuzka. I hope Jesse is as well. The loss of a special animal isn’t easy, especially when the house suddenly feels empty not seeing him there. I believe it is those very same reasons many of us reach for comfort foods, times of sadness is a big one. I personally have to talk to myself every time I reach for food….i think diet is the biggest challenge for many of us.
This weeks schedule looks great. I’m off to Mexico for a family vacation in a few days but will login from my hotel and do the best I can in my room in the mornings…wish me luck!
Keep smiling 🙂
