Workout Schedule for the Week of November 24th

Workout Schedules | November 23, 2014

Hi guys,

I hope you had a great week and weekend! I’ve been reading through your comments and tried to gather as much requests from you possible to make sure that the workout schedule reflects the communication between us. Here are the most common special requests:

1. Kettelbell workouts for beginners

2. Kettlebell workouts for advanced

3. Tabata workouts

4. Lifted butt series

5. Guns & Pistols series

When putting together the workout schedule, I have to make sure that we have 2-3 days of easy routines that will help us with recovery. You can’t just go balls to the walls 7 days a week (pardon my French…). So my take on this is to give you 4 new Zgym workouts a week instead of 3 for the next little while, until we catch up with the older workouts, that some of you already have at home in form of DVDs. I will rotate the routines in a way that everyone gets their favorite workouts at least bi-weekly.

am i the only one who finds doing pistol exercises hard? maybe its because i have weak knees.
i can do all the other workout besides them lol. i just joined 2 weeks ago and i am working my way up but i am struggling to keep up with all the workouts 🙁
i feel like most these workouts are aimed for more advanced people who have been following zuzka for years…

Kulsoom..have you tried doing pistols using a chair? Where you start out just the same as Zuzka but you have a chair underneath you that helps you stand up and you only go down halfway. Or doing them next to a door frame. You can also hang on to your kitchen or dining room table and use your arms to pull yourself back up. Just some suggestions. I’m not an expert. ;p

I love love that they are aimed for the “advanced” as I can modify when needed, which I had to for this one! But I have a goal then to work up towards. I will revisit this one for sure to see how I have improved. I had to use a box even for the Ab Splitters, but I was OK with that because that was my level and I worked HARD. Someday I won’t need the box. Same for pistols. Hope you are enjoying!

I’m on my lunch break and was so excited to see the new schedule for this week. Thank you Zuzka for making working out exciting again. I was going through a very blah time in my workouts.

Great week to come! I don´t really like pistols and kettlebell WO that much, to be honest. My favorites workouts are body weight and Tabata workouts. But I enjoy doing all the workouts in this page 🙂

That’s great! I’m really missing the Lifted Butt Series. Bring it back is going to be great. Thanks, Zuzka!

I actually have aall the Butt series on paper. I did number 1 today. I did 3 rounds instead of 2 as I feel 2 is not enough. I used a 30lb KB for every exercise and instead of 20 KB swings inbetween each exericse, I did 40 KB swings. It was really tough with this weight and added reps to the KB swing. I finished 3 rounds in 42 min and warmed up with some yoga cardio and cooled down with some Classical Stretch! I am ususally following Zuzka’s schedule, but just did not want to do Cardio Shred #2. Oh well. Loving this!

Hi Zuzka, quick idea for you, you could add a abs finisher (5mins) at the end of a regular workout…maybe 3 times per week, or create a abs finisher workout that we could have the choice of doing it or not.. and to post it like your warm up and stretch link..(which I really like!!!) Anyway, for me, I really like everything you do!!! and keep the kettlebell workout coming !!!

Hello WarriorZ. You may remember my post on N.G.U. a few weeks back about some recent health issues I had to go through. It seems that the year of 2014 is a test of strength for not only me, but my family as well. Last week on Monday November 204th, my sisters oldest daughter of 16 years took her life. This tragic loss came with no warning that we were aware of and has devastated our family. My niece was even a volunteer with “Pick with Austin” a non-profit suicide awareness organization. Right now I am asking for any kind of support to help give my niece a funeral she deserves, even if it means just sharing her story. As with all of us, times are not easy, and with the holidays here it makes it even more difficult. My sister is a stay-at-home mom with 3 more daughters. Her husband just recently started his own business this year and has put everything he has into it. My goal is to spread the word so that even if it is only $5, it can still add up. Below I have the link for donations, her obituary, and also the suicide awareness organization. We are very grateful for ANY support, whether it’s financial, prayers, or sharing our story. Thank you all!
