Chin Up

  • use supinated grip – palms facing towards you during the chin up
  • the chin up utilizes your biceps as well as your upper back muscles which makes them an “easier” exercise compared to pull ups  (pull ups isolate your upper back muscles)
  • You can use dip station as an easier variation of this exercise.

Zuzka, what exercise best simulates the chin up if I don’t have a pull-up bar?

The dip station (in the description below the video is a link) and if you don’t have the dip station you can do the one arm kettlebell row.
