    Two questions:
First one is directly related to the above question (EvaT). I am 38 years old as well, have been doing your workouts for a long time. I started with all the body weight cardio when I was in a small apartment and had no equipment. I still have minimal equipment, but I favoured those insane high intensity cardio workouts for years. THey are still often my ‘go-to’ when I feel like I need a ‘good workout’, but I Feel myself less and less wanting to do them. I also notice that you have been favouring slower more controlled workouts. Aside your workouts I am pretty faithful to pilates a few times a week as well. So I guess my question is how the insane cardio fits with aging. I’ve always loved intensity and getting a good sweat, but also with a very stressful job and family life, I find myself almost instinctively wanting to go slower. I’m not sure if this is exhaustion or if my age is really asking me to kindly take it slow. I’d be curious to hear your thoughts?

Second, mobility: I’m really not able to deep squat without turning my toes out like 45 degrees, I always thought it was my body’s natural turn out… when I put my feet straight ahead it really bothers my knees, they feel like they’re going to buckle.. But I’ve also always had issues with doing exercises like squat overhead press with kettlebell and things like that. Zuzka, is the ‘natural’ turnout okay, or is it rather a sign that my mobility/alignment needs a lot more attention?

What are your thoughts about an animal based carnivore diet for fat loss?…temporary or long term?

    Hi Zuzka!
Hope all is well the gym you have looks amazing, congratulations! My question … I really want to be lean but not too muscular. What do you recommend I do? Body weight workouts only? If so what program should I do and what should I incorporate after for cardio? Do I need to run every other day… or can the workouts you have do that for me? Thank you

Hi Zuska, I was wondering if you could advise how I should go about planning my workouts. I really enjoy the black diamond, the inferno and the booty and cardio workouts series, as well as some other programs I see on here. My question is can I combine or simultaneously do other programs along with the regular ZGYM workouts that you have listed to do each day? Or would that not be recommended? Thank you!

Hi Zuzka, Thank you as always for your time in doing the Q&As – and even re-doing them to be sure its the best possible! I loved your discussion on energy clearing and followed your method already. Its so great.
QUESTION: I have been suffering from chronic migraines since early August resulting in me not wanting to do my workouts in the ZGym. I want to get back into it but slowly. I recall in a previous post somewhere within ZGYM about hips being a possible cause of headaches. Any insight as to what I can do within the ZGYM that will help me with my headaches and also get back on track in working out on a consistent basis? I know I will feel better if I do something like yoga, stretch and tone, etc. But perhaps there is something else you suggest. Thank you!

Hey Amanda! I’m not Z, but I wanted to share how I fixed my migraines. This may or may not be your trigger, but it’s definitely something to rule out.

Short version: avoid foods with inorganic phosphates. They mess up the brain’s calcium-phosphate balance, which causes migraines.

I used to have migraines as a kid, then they went away, but returned a few years ago in a big way. MRIs were inconclusive. Neurologist was completely unhelpful. I felt like I was in a constant state of migraine for like 2 years.

Eventually, I linked my migraines to certain foods, researched like crazy, found a study on pubmed that helped shed some light, and then I connected the dots.

Turns out, companies have started ramping up their use of inorganic phosphates in foods over the years. And Covid shortages accelerated that because of supply chain issues. For example, instead of using baking SODA, companies now use cheaper baking POWDER (which is a mix of stuff, including phosphates).

So, check food labels, and avoid phosphates. These inorganic phosphates are not just in baked goods, they’re in everything now. Seafood (salmon!), cereals, breads, soft drinks, sports drinks, energy drinks, and even some supplements have it now.

Common forms to watch for: sodium phosphate, calcium phosphate, di-calcium phosphate, mono-calcium phosphate, etc, etc, basically anything phosphate. Those all cause migraine prodome symptoms in me. The big one that causes me a full blown migraine with aura is: sodium tri-poly-phosphate. That stuff is pure evil! lol And they use it everywhere now, especially the seafood industry.

Again, each person’s different, but it’s definitely worth a check. Migraines are the worst. Hope you find relief!

Wow Scott! Thanks so much for your reply. I will look into that as well as that could indeed be a cause. I, too, had an MRI that resulted in nothing, doctors giving me medication rather than trying to find the root cause. I am grateful for the medication but the CAUSE is vital. My migraines tend to begin due to noise. I have a 3 1/2 year old so I will let you imagine the noise level there! haha. and stress. I decided to see an eye doctor as I’ve not really bothered with that in many many years. He asked right away if I had sinus issues. I said yes, my whole life and working with an ENT for a year now to resolve. He could see by looking in my left eye that my sinuses are so inflamed that its putting major pressure on my eyes causing the migraines. He suggested taking allergy medication daily (especially during peak season) and I also got glasses on order. I have been taking the allergy medicine for a week and noticing a difference. But your note here on this addative to food is so so helpful! I will keep and eye out and see if that could also be a link.

Sometimes we are our own best doctors and can pass along what we discover to others. I sincerely appreciate your insight! I will report back!

Yes, definitely let me know! I’d be curious to know if someone else finds the same link.

FWIW, I had a cyst in my left maxillary sinus cavity that used to cause lots of sinus headaches, separate from all my migraine issues. I finally decided to try Flonase, which I’ve avoided for years because it’s a steroid, and I generally try to stay away from such things.

But, after using the flonase on and off for about 3 months, I’m happy to say … no more sinus headaches either. I do still need to stay on top of it and use some flonase before bed if there’s a big weather change happening, but that’s it.

Oh wow! In my MRI I just have mucus just sitting there at all times. I also have small sinuses so when I get a cold… its awful! I will try your suggestions and report back! Fingers crossed as I have been taking Zytrek for just over a week and feeling much improved. Thanks, again, for your detailed and thoughtful replies!

Oh, yeah, the mucus! lol FWIW, best thing I’ve found to help clear mucus is this stuff called Xlear, which I mix 50/50 with this other nasal wash stuff called Alkalol. It’s not a very pretty process, clearing it all out, but it works. And you’re left with minty fresh sinuses. 🤣

Thanks so much for sharing! My son has had an ongoing low grade headache for the last year(so not necessarily a migraine, but still annoying). His sinuses were a bit inflamed so we went through antibiotics, allergy med and finally had an MRI and ruled out anything major causing it. He also had had physical therapy as they thought perhaps it was something structural causing the headache and flare ups. Pressing on his C2 we could mimic the flares but the headache itself remains. I will have to take a deep dive look into what we eat and perhaps we have more of these phosphates than I am aware of that could be causing it. Appreciate you sharing your experience.

No problem, hope it helps! You may consider an exclusion/elimination diet to rule out food causes if you haven’t already. I had to stop eating at restaurants, too, sadly. But, I’ll take that over the consequences. 🙂

Hi Eva! Thank you for your question. You haven’t missed anything. The next Q&A is coming. I’m just changing strategy and decided to do a NOT LIVE Q&A, because most people are utilising the recordings, and I also tend to talk too much 🙂 when I’m live and I don’t get to address all questions within an hour. So in order to respect everyone’s time, I decided to just focus on putting together a monthly video where I answer your questions without getting off topic.
