Solid Abs in 10 Minutes

Fitness | September 08, 2014

Hi guys,

I had a busy Saturday so I left my training for the very last minute, when I had only 30 minutes to get ready for dinner. When days like that happen, it’s good have a back up plan or be ready for a spontaneous solution. I did not have a plan so I had to act quickly. I gave myself 10 minutes for a workout, 8 minutes for shower, and 12 minutes for make up and to dress up.It’s actually easier to push myself to do the workout in the last minute, before I have to get ready to go out, because I take it as part of getting ready instead of thinking about it as a workout. I hope this makes sense. It just doesn’t seem like a lot of work when you realize that you’ll be spending more time to have a shower and do your make up.

Here’s the workout if you want to try to compete with me. I did 4 rounds and 17 kettlebell swings within the 10 minute count down. If you can do at least one more swing then I did, you win. By the way the kettlebell I used in this workout was 44lbs. I suggest you to challenge yourself with a heavier weight as well.

Best,

Z.

Well done on the new site design! It is much more slick and tasteful now.

I do have some feedback about the workouts, and I don’t mean this as a criticism. I think it is important to keep the complete beginners in mind in everything you do. You have to remember that most of the people doing (or trying to do) your workouts are nowhere near as fit as you. I am by no means out of shape, but that reverse pushup is just totally impossible for me. I over-strained myself just raising into position. I remember you used to always say “now, if you’re a complete beginner, this is what you can do…” and I think you have shied away from that approach now. Many people might be totally out of shape and seeing if these exercises are right for them. Every time a beginner tries one of your workouts and can’t do it, you risk them giving up and never coming back. I’d love to see you go back to keeping the beginners in mind, because those are the people who need these workouts the most!

The average person looking for exercises online doesn’t have equipment, they don’t have a gym membership, and they definitely don’t want to pay for a membership online. Personally, I would much rather see the site plastered in ads and endorsements than having to pay a membership fee. I know its tacky, but I think you will get much much more interest and traffic that way.

I’ve been doing your workouts on and off for a long time, and I know you’ve been through a lot these last couple of years. It is very inspiring to see you still optimistic, determined and succeeding in your own dreams, despite the adversity of being shamefully exploited and sexualized by he who shall not be named. I do hope you continue succeeding and improving! Thank you, Z!

      Hi Travis,

Thank you so much. I love my the look of my new website and I wouldn’t want it to be plastered with random ads. Also if you’re looking for easier modifications for beginners, they are all in the Zgym at the beginning of each workout, so maybe you should check it out. If you’re not the type of person to pay for a membership, to follow my weekly workout program, then I think that this website is perhaps not your cup of tea. Either way, good luck with your training, stay strong and never give up!

I was browsing through all of your workouts as I was looking for a workout that contained a pull up bar. I just recently got one. Glad that I’ve come across this really cool workout!
