Introducing The Beast

Blog | January 08, 2016

introducing_the_beast_post

The 2015 was a year of recovery for me. I was recovering in terms of my business, finances, mental health and also my physical health. Mentally, I haven’t given up on myself 🙂 I’m getting better and keeping the crazy under control. Business is great, we’re stable again and I have a lot of great things to look forward to. One of the greatest news is that my back feels amazing again. It took time for me to recover completely from the back issues I had in 2014. I’ve been very diligent with my postural therapy routines and very careful with my workouts, which was essential for my recovery, but it built up enormous tension inside of me. The limitations I had to face were stopping me from training the way I really wanted to. I wanted to use my heavy kettlebell, I wanted to do more challenging exercises, I wanted to get more flexible, but my back kept telling me I wasn’t ready. Getting rid off the stiffness in my lower back, and sciatica pains completely, took months and months of at home therapy. By the way, I have some great routines in my Postural Therapy series in the ZGYM for any of your chronic or injury related pains.

I finally feel free and ready to rock. That’s why I’m bringing the Beast into my workouts. She’s a 44lb beauty that will help me to build fuller and rounder glutes, strong back, legs and abs .Don’t get me wrong, you can absolutely built a strong, athletic, and gorgeous body with your medium size kettlebell with the workouts we already have. We’ve been doing this for years and it’s been working, but I wouldn’t want to stay in one place and put limits on what we can do. If you do have the option to get your own Beast, go for it. If not, you can still be excited for the brand new AWESOME and supercharged ZGYM workouts – especially the new routines in your favorite Lifted Butt Series next week!!

Now, let’s get to the reasons why you should consider owning and training with a heavy kettlebell.

1. Muscle size – don’t worry ladies, we won’t be growing huge arms and shoulders. We’re going to use the extra weight to put some meat on our glutes.

2. Strength – why would you say no to an obvious benefit.

3. Muscular endurance – the longer you can sustain a high intensity activity the more calories you’ll burn which is helpful in keeping your weight under control. It will also make you faster. Imagine going through some of my most intense ZGYM workouts with minimum breaks and beating your personal bests in time and reps. Your new progress tracker* would be very happy 🙂

*Progress tracker is a new tool for my ZGYM members that allows them to keep track of their workout performance.

Some of you have just started working out with me, so I would suggest you to just get used to working out with your medium size kettlebell and build some stamina. You will know when you’re ready to take it to the next level.

There are many of you guys that have been working out with me for years and I know you’re itching for something that will take your training to the next level. This is it. 2016 is the year we’ll show the world how awesome we can be 🙂 let’s do this!!

I found some deals on Amazon that you can take advantage of and get your beasty 44 or 45lb (if you’re an average woman) kettlebell for cheaper price: Kettlebells on Amazon

Check it out and share more links in the comments below if you know about other great offers and discounts for kettlebells.

I received a 40 pounds kettlebell for Christmas, I was so happy! But it’s so heavy, it’s kinda frightening but thrilling at the same time. It’s really hard to train with it. But it’s a wonderful challenge! Obviously I won’t be doing snatches or overhead presses with it. My 25 pounds will be just ok for that.

PS. My mother got it for me on Amazon too. Fast shipping!
PS. 2. I’m really happy that your home therapy succeeded. Being pain free worths a lot!

After you use it several times it doesn’t seem awkward or too heavy anymore. Plus, it makes the 25 pound kb feel soooo light! 💪🏻🙂

Zuzka! I’m glad to hear that you’re doing much better with your health and that things in general are going well for you!
I’m so excited to hear about the ‘beast’ KB because that’s what I got for x-mas, yay… I’ll be able to use it in the future WOs. Also, could you add the dip station in the new routines? I’d love to use it! Thanks for everything & I’m ready to rock with you! xoxo

I’m so happy to hear that heavier kbs will be used! It’s motivating for sure and I’m really excited! It will be especially useful when combined with the new progress tracker!

I have the 26, 35, and 44lb and I use them all accordingly. I find it’s good to have them all for various exercises; but I try to push myself to go heavy because I notice big results when doing so.

    Super excited!

I tried to find the progress tracker on the site, does anyone know if it’s up yet? If so, where can I find it?

What will happen with the tracker if some day I décide to stop the Zgym for 1 or 2 months? Will I keep my track if I become a member again? Thanks

I would LOVE to see heavy weights incorporated into your workouts! I would imagine it won’t be the same reps and the exercises will vary from your 26lb kettlebell workouts, can’t wait to see what you have in store for us!

I have had a 44 lb KB for awhile and have only used it for swings. I don’t think I want to be able to press it or do snatches with it. Only swings with both hands. I prefer not be stronger than my husband. 🙂 I understand wanting to get fitter and try new things but at some point I don’t want to be stronger. More flexible and agile is what I want to focus on.

There won’t be any snatches or overhead presses with the Beast 🙂 just lower body exercises to plump up our buns.

Hi Zuzka! Thanks so much for your trainings, they are so efficient!! We are changing our lives for 2016, my girlfriend and I! We just had a talk on pelvic muscle… my girlfriend gave birth 8 months ago and It’s not in good shape… like she can’t jump at all… She knows Kegel exercises but doesn’t like it… We are wondering if you have any recommendations? Thanks!!! 🙂

The best way to get back on track after birth and build a strong core are plank exercises. Tell her to incorporate a lots of those into her training.

Hi, I would recommend to follow specialized exercises for post-partum. They can still be tough in the way of HIIT we find here and only doing Kegels is not the way, but you must check to not have diastasis recti first (I did have one). Doing plank may be too much for a start. I have been modifying Zgym for 4 years (after my girl’s birth) and have however only been doing core exercises by trainers certified on the matter (I can provide you info, find me on instagram for sending me a personal message : lababla.lababla
You must have your transversus abdominis work (TVA) my morning routine (with warm-up) includes pelvic tilts, one leg scoop, adductors and abductors isometric moves, bridges,…NO crunches, no V-up or sit-ups, no navasana (if into yoga poses).

By the way, Zuzka, I think a lot of girls would looove that you get a certification for pre/post-natal training. Most of us are moms or mom’s to be 😉
I understand I can’t mention here any name (as would be seen as “competitors”), I can send you info by pm.

Happy New Year Zuzka! The postural therapy exercises helped me *so* much this year. Before I had occasional back pain that would last for weeks at a time. Now when I get a little pain anywhere I just do your exercises and they go away really quickly.

I am afraid and excited about The Beast.. I have a 35lb kettlebell that I only use for kettlebell swings (and of course my trusty 25 lb one). I’ll see if I can handle the 35lb one with your new routines..

Wow…I was thinking about buying a 16kg KB…actually I found one with nice shape and good cost…it will be my first step. After 16kg I shall jump to 20kg…from 12kg to 20 it would be a huge step! Anyways…lifted butt sounds very good…I am already missing KB workouts, lifted butt series, handstand series and upper body workouts. I am missing JR workouts also and only body weight exercises…I am missing everything!!!!! 🙂
