3 Minute Workout For Butt And Abs

Fitness | August 19, 2013

Here is a 3 minute workout for butt and abs that you can do on those days, when you are absolutely short of time or you just don’t feel like doing the full workout from our weekly ZGYM schedule.

I do this exact short workout in my bathroom, usually just before I take a shower and it’s increadibly time saving and simple routine that will raise your heart rate and really work your butt and abs. I have promised myself long time ago that I will do at least a little bit of exercise every day just to make sure that I keep myself on track. Exercise makes me feel so much better on every level, physically, mentally, and emotionally. Getting out of the comfort zone is one of the hardest things for most of us, so developing a strong habit is something that will always help you to overcome the challenge of your own laziness. Do you really want to take a few steps back by skipping your workouts or would you rather spend 3 minutes doing a short effective routine that will help you to maintain what you’ve been working for?

What you’ll need for this mini workout is a kettle bell (I’m using 26lbs) or a dumbbell (I suggest at least 10lbs). I can really recommend for you to get a kettle bell because it’s an awesome piece of exercise equipment that will last you forever and you can keep your butt forever awesome by doing the kettle bell swing. It’s an investment that you’ll never regret. Besides I am about to start including kettle bells more into my workouts so we can have a blast together 😉

Have a great day and leave me some comments for me to read 🙂

Best,

Zuzka.

This is really good for me. I love your zgym + all your workouts but sometimes I find it hard to be able to fit them in my day. Its not so bad because I have an active lifestyle my work i’m always on the go, i have 2 border collies and 2 horses that need lots of exercise and care (they keep me fit and strong too :)). So anything like this really helps me.

Keep doing what you do 🙂

Love this. I just joined zgym. Starting at week one have completed the first two workouts. Today is my rest day. I am totally going to do this 3 min workout. What a great idea. Thanks. Love your site. If anyone out there is thinking of joining zgym do it. Im a mom of a 2year old and 4 year old and work from home. These workouts are amazing and fit in my schedule. After taking a break from them and now starting up again. Im already seeing definition in my abs after the second day of doing them. Thanks Zuzka you are amazing and thank you.

What weight of kettlebell are you using? What would you recommend starting with using that (I am recoving from shoulder surgery).

(Love working around the dogs! They do like to get involved, eh?).

Love that kind of day-saving short solutions!

They are so effective thinking that you only invest 3 or 5 minutes.

BUT for me, the main “time – consumer” with the workouts is always the warm-up and the cool-down. Because, I workout for example 12 minutes but do the 10” warm-up and the 8” cool-down routine afterwards.

So the actual w/o is 12”

but total time goes up to 30”

then with shower and dress up again..

..I never end up completing the whole thing under 45” – 1hour. Which still is GREAT

but does not really work always, where I work until 7-8 pm and have to do at home after work.

SO: 1- Do you think, we should warm up or stretch also after these mini workouts, Zuzka? 2- Do you have a similar short but very effective stretching routine for those days with mini workouts?

    THANKing you for everything!

    Ö.
