3 Out Of The Box Exercises for Abs

I have always believed that in order to be motivated to workout and keep in shape you have to have fun with it. I can’t even imagine doing the same old same old 15 basic exercises at the gym day after day. We’re not robots, we do get bored and unmotivated without the stimulus of variety. I have always had fun with coming up or discovering new exercises that make you more athletic and I have even more fun sharing them with you! Check out these 3 out of the box exercises that will effectively target all of your muscles in the mid section and provide and awesome cardio at the same time.
1. Breakdance Push Up
Make sure that you’re bracing your core when you’re turning over into the plank and when doing the one leg push up. You shouldn’t be arching your back dropping your hips down. If this exercise is still way too challenging for you, then just work on the first part and once you get into the plank, you can always go on your four and do the push up off of your knees.
2. Handstand Jump Tuck
You should use a wall for a support unless you are really confident that you can pull off the handstand without it. Try to engage your core as much as you can when doing the handstand and put a lot off effort into the jump tucks as well. Go back and forth without any break in between each move.
3. Jack knife Plank Knee Tucks
This is a super effective combo, because it’s a combination of the two most ab activating moves you can do with your bodyweight. Just make sure that you are using a lot of power. This exercise can’t be done in a slow pace. You’ll be out of breath soon, but remember that without this type of intensity there is no burning of calories and boosting your metabolism so find the warrior inside and push hard!

Hi Zuzka, at the end of the article you mention the Six Pack Summer Abs series but I can’t find it on you new Zgym site. Those were always may favourite workouts and now it seems as if they have disappeared 🙁

I did 4 circuits of this exercises, 10 reps each in 15:40 + 3 circuits of The Best Exercises for leg and butt(12.05.14) + 6 min of Tabata for ABS.
I have to say that I was trying to do handstand before many times in yoga classes and in your other workout and I was always so scary, so careful and was not able to do it. And today I was scary too before I started but then I was doing it so fast without breaks so I did not have time to afraid and with every circuit I was doing better and better. And in the forth round I did handstands many time! I am so happy! Thank you Zuzka!
