Today I want to share with you my own favorite “basics” routine I do here and there when I want an extra upper body and abs bonus. It’s also a way for me to practice handstand. Just to let you know, it took me a long time to get to this stage. You might be able to progress a lot faster if you have more time each day to spend practicing the handstand exercises. All I can commit to is a few minutes of practice here and there on top of my regular ZGYM workouts. That said, you can still make a progress even if you’re super busy. I’m giving myself another year to progress into the 2 minute free standing handstand. I don’t care how long is it going to take me, I still have an entire life ahead of me 😉

This routine is really for everyone who likes to feel the burn. Your abs are going to be on fire after just couple minutes. You can add this after each one of your ZGYM workouts if your goal is to take your core training to the next level. Just follow along with me!

    This was excellent! I don’t have a yoga wheel, and that’s probably something I would consider getting in the future….but I used my smaller (45 cm) ball and was able to get into handstand against the wall this way and even hold, but I kept lightly tapping the wall to stay up and not fall over. This is SUCH A GREAT HANDSTAND EXERCISE! I love that it assists us into handstand slowly while we feel into our core and abdomen. It’s helping me FEEL core control. Love it!

    any recommendations on which yoga wheel is best? what kind do you have? will we be doing more exercises with the wheel?

      I got my yoga 12.5″ wheel on Amazon.com (SukhaMat Yoga Wheel Prop). I think it was around $48. The price for a yoga wheel varies and it could be up to $150 which I don’t think is necessary – it’s more about personal preference.

    I just got a yoga wheel for christmas. Please do a series with this amazing piece of equipment. I’m sure we can all benefit from your creativity. It feels soooo good. I’m sure all your zgym members will hop on and get one soon enough if most don’t already have a yoga wheel.
