Zuzka Stretching

I’m a total junkie for a new home exercise equipment. It brings more fun into my training and I like the challenge of learning new moves and skills. Besides, every time you challenge yourself with something new, you’re making even better progress because you’re forcing your body to adapt to a new stimuli which always comes with gains. The Terra Core bench is a real treat for me. Here’s my question to you guys, would you like me to make a workout program using the Terra Core?  I know that not all of you are interested to spend money on another exercise equipment, but if you do happen to be interested, let me know in the comments. Maybe if there’s enough of you guys who would like a new series in the ZGYM or a stand alone program, I could get us a good discount. Right now I  have for you a 25% coupon code “Zuzka” which you can use at VicoreFitness.com

Don’t forget to check my Instagram today. I will be announcing the winner of the Terra Core Giveaway.

I likely will not purchase this. I don’t have the space at this time. But if you choose to to a series, not a problem…I can repeat some of my favorited workouts.

I do agree that the Terra core is too expensive for me personally to purchase right now, but I may be able to afford a bosu ball in the near future. I don’t see anything wrong with incorporating some moves with it into cardio shreds or summer shreds or jump rope cardio or any other series. If I don’t have it at the time, I will simply modify, or do any of the other thousand workouts on the website, or invent my own workouts by stringing together parts of my favorites. I didn’t have a Swiss ball for the longest time and just did hardcore eggs with my sliders. There’s always a work around. We still do pull ups and hanging knee raises in the ZGYM even though some members don’t have a pull up bar. Right now there are a couple series for beginners. Sometimes there are series for advanced and in this case for the more adventurous. We should be able to compromise! I understand that everyone has constraints with budget and space, but I also like the idea of incorporating new and fun ideas to add challenge and variety. I say go for it!

I do have a coffee talk idea Z…
I think a lil something along the lines of this:
How our society has changed so drastically in the past 20 years with technology and innovation and the effects its had and is having on us all. Its a topic worth discussing. People seem more demanding now that everything is accessible with the click of a button. People seem to be a bit more CRANKY or just more willing to fly off the handle when they dont get EXACTLY what they want, when they want it. We seem much more able to say very rude things via social media without any thought to the consequence. Of course technology is great and amazing but I do feel a bit of a walking backward direction in basic human decency in our interactions.
I can’t help but to picture a lot of times when this is occurring, a toddler sticking his bottom lip out and throwing himself down on the floor because he couldn’t have that lollypop right before bed. Perspective, maybe a lil self reflection, for a lot of people would go a loooonnnnng way…

Hi Zuzka! I agree with other European customers: for the moment it will be hard for me buy your new equipment because too expensive. But anyway I like to see your fitness discoveries even if I can’t or I don’t want do them. For example I don’t love so much the jump rope but I have a rebounding tramp so I use this for your jump workouts! And I did a “book” with your more interesting workouts (for me of course) with every exercises written so it’s easy for me replace or add the right workout when I need. It will be amazing if you’ll do a similar book for us expecially because sometimes someone could not have a good Internet connection!
About the series, I’d like to see a BARRE serie and MOST OF ALL a KICKBOXING serie : if I think to a beautiful body, on my taste, I think to a dancer or a fighter! No equipment, strength and Cardio and fun!
Thanks Zuzka for everything, even for your advices about items because I consider normal between “friends” give similar suggestions! And thanks because you motivate me like nobody else and I started to work on my home 20 years ago do I tried many fitness instructors! Care of you! Kisses from Venice, Italy! 😍

Katsedia said everything I would like to say.

The draw of the Zgym was minimal equipment. I remember when Bodyrock kept adding pieces, it became frustrating and a turn off, and I followed you because of the promise of less equipment. If we keep going with the addons, i see it becoming a problem in terms of expenses, space etc.

On a more general level, I think it may become a turn-off for potential new members. When someone looks at your page thinking about joining and they see that thing? I would’ve said “forget it”. Again, part of your appeal is minimal equipment and affordability, and this is kind of goes against both. Personally, I don’t want another site with more “buy buy buy”.

I understand that bodyweight workouts are appealing probably for most people. Less equipment is better, but ZGYM is already full of bodyweight workouts and workouts with little amount of equipment. I think I can put together a 365 day program using my bodyweight workouts from the ZGYM. I personally don’t want ZGYM to be limited in any way, because I don’t like to limit myself and my own training. I see ZGYM to be a place where everyone can find training they enjoy. I feel like there are people who feel the same way. That said I need to find a good balance because obviously I don’t want to discriminate anyone. I just want to make sure that we all go forward as a community that supports each other.

Obviously we all love you and your workouts and your upcoming clothing line! I think versatility is a great thing in your workouts, and people are pushing back against terra core because it doesn’t seem like a very versatle piece of equipment – it’s big, expensive, and unless you have it, you cannot do a workout. I don’t think anyone would mind a special series with it, but the concern seems to be that it’ll become a required piece, maybe. And since you did ask for feedback, people are offering their thoughts. I certainly don’t begrudge anyone equipment they enjoy, but it does seem if terra core workouts were offered with Bosu options a lot more people would embrace them.

I also appreciate the need to offer new things and to keep evolving… the risk here is that it might be perceived as a change in identity. You have a fandom 🙂 it’s a blessing and a curse!

I guess I disagree with Katsedia. There is some pushback against the Terra Core, but plenty of people who are loving the idea. I purchased one. I understand it might not be in everyone’s budget, but as Zuzka pointed out- there are so many other workouts to choose from. I still haven’t assembled my pull up station. I just do other things. Although, I am determined to assemble it this weekend. 🙂

what brought me to you (not specifically to Zgym), is not the bodyweight, but your personality and fresh open mind, curious about new things, challenging yourself to find new workouts, new moves and push girls into non-conventional workouts.

If compromise is needed, I would suggest that you bring an alternative to the equipment (eg. if no TerraCore, then use a BOSU if you have one, or use inflated disc and put them on a bench or chair (around 15 usd) or the ground). I am absolutely for a series on instable surface as it trains proprioception (deep muscles) and helps prevent injuries. It is used in rehab but also by many athletes.
So please explore a cheaper equipment option, I will do it anyways, because I am creative open minded too 🙂

Just to repeat myself (because I really it is worth it):
if you plan into exploring other equipment, I’d be curious what you come up with a rod/pole/broomstick like Zejax or Bo staff …which could actually be a simple tube bought in a hardware shop (wood or metal I guess). I am sure Jesse or his Dad could come up with a cheap accessible option we can then use.

Zuzka, i am glad you said this as that is what i want; to see what YOU do to progress your fitness level. There are always for me to modify to eventually work up to that specific exercise (one arm push up). I know you do and create these workouts, but i know your own routines must be more challenging as you are very advanced and i would love to see all of them! IT really gives me motivation to work towards and i have come so far. Still trying to get those darn pull ups though!
lol Being such a busy person and a worry wart, i love having these challenges to focus on and it shows my kids they have an a strong mom with motivation. It wou

My terra core will be here Monday. I love new home gym equipment. I can find many uses for it. I plan to use it as a jump box because it will be easier on my knees than the plyo box I use now. I can also use it for a bench when doing chest work. Don’t limit all of us because a few don’t want to use equipment. Make an advanced series just for those wanting to use heavier weights or more equipment. I never would have used a 45 lb kettlebell if you had encouraged it and now I can’t believe how strong it has made me. 30 feels like nothing now! I would also love to see you make a trx workout.

I agree completely, Heather. I said a couple days ago that if it weren’t for Zuzka, I would never have bought a pull up bar for my home. But I did, and I use it almost everyday. I love having a variety of equipment, and I love that Zuzka is always expanding my limits.

Well said, Zuzka. Part of what I love so much about working out with you is that you’re always coming up with new, creative approaches to fitness. That’s what moves us forward. Personally, I think including terra core and/or bosu workouts would be a great option for those of us (like me) who are particularly interested in improving balance and stability.

Zuzka, you are absolutely right. Some of us can have all the equipment you use, some of us do not have the space for large equipment. I do not have pull up bar or dip station in my tiny apartment. I think it’ll work for all of us if you could post alternative workouts for those of us who cannot have large equipment : )

Love the minimalist approach and simplicity of ZGym . Thats’s what drew me to it . And the equipment here are basics e.g. KB , dumbbells , pull up bar , jump rope , swiss ball. Recent ones like sliders and power bands are just great because it’s portable, affordable and fits with the ‘ image ‘ of simplicity and minimalism. Terracore just doesn’t fit in – too bulky taking up space ,pricey, and not portable . Am sure one can benefit from it but doesn’t cut it for me . Having it as a ZSpecial one off workout might work .
Appreciate all your hard work Z and I love all your workouts and am amazed by your creativity! Thank you x
