This workout is a great way to start your day without breaking too much sweat. It’s an excellent recovery workout and a routine that will help you feel more rejuvenated. I’m sure you’ve noticed how free you feel after a yoga or stretching routine. The more freedom you give your body to move, the more positive effect it’s going to have on your mood and creativity.
If you’re experiencing any muscle soreness from yesterday’s training, then repeat this workout through out the day for faster recovery. You don’t need to push yourself as hard, just through the moves and make it a 10 minute workout instead (repeat the 5 minutes).
Workout Breakdown
1. Pancake Burpees
2. Plow to up dog
3. High Bridge to Seated Forward Bend

2 rounds. Each exercise is 45 seconds and only 5 second break in between which gives you enough time to get ready to change the movement. Go for maximum reps for each exercise and always try for full range of motion.

The stretches were great especially the plough….I had quite a nice sweat going on – I did 2 rounds followed by the first kettlebell workout from October 2014 – which was so enjoyable to do!

I’m horrible. guess what? I thought I’d switch it up yesterday and did something different. I did a 50minute T***y A******N sculpting work out because I have done one of her dvds for post pregnancy recovery and I really enjoyed the ab isolations. SO I got a regular toning dvd to try. I have heard that doing the regular “method” can make people feel kind of sick after ward. Well it did. I felt like I had the flu for the rest of the day. or maybe it was the full moon. 0.0 I did not sleep well. regardless, I feel fine today. a bit sore. but better. I did the zwow and now this 5 minute yoga. Feels so much better. <3 I vow never to venture off again. I am very curious though as to why that particular practice makes some people feel sick like that. strange.

Tracy Anderson. Popular celebrity trainer. She has a whole fitness method program but I’ve only done 2 of her DVDs. The post pregnancy was very mild but the one I did yesterday, I believe it’s called Sculpt and Tone. She focuses on unique muscle groups. It didn’t feel right to me but I went through the whole DVD and wish I didnt.

I did TA for 3 years. The mentality of 2 hours a day finally wore on me. It is still hard to get out of my head. Towards the end of the 3 years, I became exhausted, depressed and very soft, mushy like. I felt terrible and looked terrible. I don’t understand why. I only planned on a break and when I did Zuzka, I realized how weak I was! At the same time, though, I felt soooo wonderful when I was done and i had not had that feeling in such a long time that I immediately became addicted and never went back to TA. Plus my muscles have become so tight and fit. That is even without strict diet, so I am impressed, but it is still hard to wrap my head around short workouts. I usually add on Essentrics since it is a stretch focused workout and feels like heaven when finished. That helps me mentally feel like i did a longer workout. LOL

Yes, when I was doing her post preg workouts for a few months I only enjoyed the abs section. But trudged through the whole hour. The long workouts were too demanding on time for me. They left me feeling exhausted and ill after her Mat DVD. and this new one I got Tone and Sculpt was the worse afterwards. I’ve been with z for just over 2 yrs now and I feel so amazing after her workouts. Energized and happy. Zuzkas approach leaves me feeling strong and healthy. 🙂

Done first that zwow with 3 mins of weighted squats and 10 mins of burpees and walking lunges followed by weighted upper body hiit cuz I have a party tomorrow and I’m wearing this super tight sleeveless jumpsuit. This little yoga was right on spot to finish it off and stretch.

I loved this little 5 min routine and since I am traveling today, this will be my tomorrow “rest day” routine for the hotel room. I did this as a warm up today to an old Zshred #11, which was sooo intense cardio wise. Wow. It is amazing, though, how I can get my butt kicked so bad but feel so refreshed when finished.
