Hi, Zuzka! Could you give me advice? Is it safe for health to workout when you are having these days? There are so many opinons. Somebody clams not to workout and wait 2-3 days, others say not to do downward dog and some yoga poses and don’t do any abs workouts or avoid intense training. I don’t know what is right. 🙁

Hi, Zuzka works out in those days https://zuzkalight.com/health-fitness/is-that-time-of-the-month-cramping-your-style/. I do it too because it helps with the mood changes, but I don’t take it like in the other days so I don’t try to beat my personal best in any wo I just do the moves slowly. I avoid jumps because I discover those give cramps, and use ligther weight, although I don’t have problems with inverted poses. I supposse is all about knowing aour bodys because they are unique and what works for one doesn’t to other, maybe that’s why there are so many opinions. Have a nice day.

Thank you for your answer!) WOs help me with the moods too and I don’t feel pain anymore. But in autumn I trained too hard even in these days and “it” became more rarely (I don’t know what kind of word to say to describe it). I always eat well, take supplemets (vit & min), Also I went to see my doctor and she told that I’m ok. Now I think it was too intense WO. You really helped me. Now I’ll try to slow down in these days and do smth in easy pace.) Thank you.

Hi Lisa! If you’re talking about ‘time of the month’ days, Zuzka actually made a video on this a little bit ago. 🙂 It starts around the 30 second mark. Hope this helps you! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tF6nzc7uUXA

I love you so much, but I simply cannot get around doing these. The cardio I enjoy doing is the typical group lesson in an aerobics gym. It involves music, choreography, mirrors, the instructor counting the pace and motivating us and it always ends in body weight (sometimes free weights) toning either standing, or at floor level.
What you are doing seems so hardcore and so out of my comfort zone. Even though I know that’s where miracles happen, I would so much rather do it with you (or another trainer) in a gym, with music and mirrors, rather than in front of a screen, with only heavy breathing as background noise.
I am really disappointed in myself 🙁

I’ve never liked these classes with the happy smiley instructors. People are dying trying to get through the workout, and the instructors are smiling and showing you that you’re just in bad shape because you’re not smiling like them, it’s like they’re mocking you. With Zuzka, you can see that when she’s doing her workouts, she’s “suffering”, so it’s like she puts you on the same level as her. Doing a workout with someone that’s telling you: this is hard for ANYBODY, is an extra motivation for me!

youre so right nathalia, i have been going for many years at that group lessons like spinning, aerobic, K2 and so on…and i always felt like that way “oh my, i cant keep up the pace with the instructor, Im in bad bad shape…” (not meantioned the money for lessons and time to get in the gym). Nevertheless, I think, that there are some people, who really need that atmosphere in the gym and that way really suits for them and they re enjoying it. But on the other side there a second kind of people who just loooove working at home “in front of screen”. Im that kind of person and from my side of view this way (working out with Zuzka) in my chosen time and watching her advices is just better for me than spending hours in the gym and money with personal trainers who doesnt really helps you like u wanna…
P.S.- Sometimes I catch myself recently in those moments, when Im thinking about eating some reeaaaly unhealty, and suddently I hear Zuzka´s voice with her favourite (i think 🙂 ) sentence “Dont cheat on your diet” 😀

Hey Jana! I agree with you completely! I was going to all kinds of group workouts. Aerobics, step aerobics, zumba and all that – and I have to say it never challenged me as much as our Zuzka does to this day. I love it when I see that she is struggling just as much as we are and if she isn’t and I am, then I know I have stuff to work on. I love it when I am sweating like crazy and doing workouts that challenge me after which I am wiped out and happy. The problem is people don’t like to get out of their comfort zone, but that comes from the “head”. I guess people have problems with motivating themselves to workout at home too – I even have a friend who tells me that she just always finds an excuse why not to do it, and that if we lived closer and I worked out with her, she would do it.
P.s. You just cracked me up with your p.s. hahahaha… I know what you talking about – I as myself “Do you really need that right now or you are just bored?” I really understand you hearing Zuzkas voice and do not cheat on your diet when you workout so hard to get fit.
Ok, enough of my typing.

Don’t be disappointed in yourself. No reason to beat yourself up. Everybody has there own preferences and what works for you may not work for the next person. And that is ok. Nobody judges you for that.

Elena, don’t be disappointed in yourself. We all get motivated in different ways. For me, discovering Zuzana was how I broke out of the gym. Everything she does is so freeing for me. I can work out at home, or at the park, or on the beach, or at a kids’ playground — and I’ve done all! The lesson I took away from these types of workouts is that I carry my fitness with me. I am my own workout, whenever I want it.
But there was a time when I needed the atmosphere of the gym to motivate me and that’s fine, too. The only thing I can say is when you’re confronted with that ‘comfort zone’ you don’t want to break out of…tackle it head-on! When you breach your comfort zone you’ll discover a new side to yourself, one you just may end up liking an awful lot. 🙂 Good luck!

I used to do same thing as you aerobics with instructor for 45-50 mins 6 days a week and although I could keep up with her and do all the ‘choreography’ after a couple of months I just plateaued and there were no more changes to my body just same old stuff that became boring and somehow comforting.
But I knew I wanted and I’m ABLE to take my fitness to the next level and I started doing zuzka’s routines. Ain’t gonna lie it was hard to push out of my comfort zone and get the real sweat going, took me about 6 months of consistent exercise to keep up with her or even beat the times or reps.
YOU CAN DO IT as well! Good luck and don’t give up it’s amazing what your body can do once your mindset is right!

So true!

Definitely don’t feel disappointed!
Maybe you can write the workout down and just knowing what to do, play some music and try to push yourself! Then you can compare your results with z, and you will be improving!
If this doesn’t work its ok.. everyone is different <3
