Happy New Year!!!

This is my present for you, I hope you’ll love it πŸ˜›

I have already asked you in one of the ZGYM workouts about your fitness goal for the new year, but I think that it’s important that we keep talking about it, because that’s what will help you to stay motivated. If you have a goal in your mind that is emotionally charged, you’re more likely to stick to your training and healthy diet then if you let yourself forget, why exactly you’re doing this. I believe that if you see me reaching my goals, you’ll have more faith in yourself that you can do it too. Most people fall out of the wagon in March because their new year’s resolutions become faded. Don’t let that happen and remind yourself daily. I want to see your progress in March. Make a short video of yourself today talking about your goals and I want you to send it to me in March with a new video of you sharing your amazing progress! Remember when Magda (one of my dear ZGYM members) showed us her progress with her arm balance and flexibility? That was so awesome and you all loved it! This time be the one that inspires.

2. Flying burpee x 5

3. Plank jack x 10

4. Bird dog x 10

Do as many total reps as possible. Keep going through this circuit until the 5 minute count down is up. Push yourself and give it all you have, it’s only 5 minutes!!

    Hi, I just became a member a few weeks ago and I love your site Zuzka! I have no idea if you’ll ever read this, but I wanted to say, I love what you do and I especially love that you want to get stronger! One arm pushups and 10 pullups – those are ambitious goals but I know you’ll get there! I hope as you make progress, you’ll share your progress with us. I seem to remember, you did 8 pullups before, so I know you can get back there soon. πŸ™‚ Good luck Zuzka!!

        Hi Zuzka!
        My goals are also to just be able to an unassisted pull up. How is the best way to approach this? Because of your Black diamond series, I am so pumped for pull ups as i feel those and push ups will be the best to give me upper body attractiveness plus it just feels awesome. Right now i am practicing negatives with chin up grip and regular wide grip. I am stepping my body up to the bar and slowly lowering down. Right now, 4 reps feels sufficient and then i put my leg in the band and do pull ups to failure. i do this about twice or so a day. What do ya think?
        My other goal is to practice your Arm Balance challenge and not QUIT! I do not have patience and now after beginning your book, i will make sure i do as these goals are very motivating. Also, it is great for my kids to see their mom do and achieve. I am practicing Arm balance #3 until i feel totally comfortable with that pose.
        PS: one arm push ups or at least the press up, will be my next goal after getting one or two pull ups

    I hope we all get stronger (both physically and mentally ;), better and healthier in 2016:)
    I will definitely get to the full split,I will do at least one chin-up(It seems like reaching Mount Everest to me- either my arms are to weak or my body is too heavy,LOL), I will master nonstop double unders and pistol squats and in terms of yoga, I want to get to the wheel from the upright position πŸ™‚
    But first,I will have to get through this throat surgery in 3 days. My fitness life will be put on hold for few weeks, and even thinking about it makes me want to cry, but at the same time I am thrilled about getting new,better life and I know I get back on the right track very soon πŸ™‚ I have to!

      I wish you to pass through your surgery as easy and safe as possible! I’m pretty sure you’ll get back on track very fast, reinforced and confident πŸ™‚ I think that the best thing we can possibly do while being prevented from the training is to make sure that “our diet is tip-top” (c)

      Magda,
      I wish you well. You will come back full strength. I too was so depressed to have to quit exercising. Before my emergency surgery, i was so anemic, but still had to exercise! (how silly) that my heart stopped, but I had to have patience and I am back doing better than before. Is it only a few weeks you have to wait? That will go by fast! I really hope you the best! You are beautiful, btw and i love reading your posts.

    Loved this, It actually gave me an energy boost so might do another workout now! 25 cals, HR 128/159. Z’s pace.

    Like Magda, I want to get full splits this year. I’m a bit stuck with health goals in pregnancy. I’ve settled on listening to my body and doing something active every single day, even if it’s just a gentle yoga routine. 10 pull ups would be great too!

    Hi Zu and friends! Happy New Year once again. All the best Magda for your surgery, everything will be alright and soon you will be back to rock here with us. About the goals, they are so many that I will try to organize them in priority list to work each of them daily at least few minutes and let us see which goal I will reach first. Today I am travelling back home, whole day sitting in the car. Hope to be able to do a workout tomorrow. See u, take care.
