Before and After - Diana's Progress

Hello Zuzka,

My name is Diana and I have been a member of your Zgym since January of this year after the birth of my second baby. Prior to my pregnancies I tried a few of your workouts on YouTube and although I liked them, I was skeptical that just 15 minutes of intense workout a day could have a significant impact on my strength, endurance, and body shape. So I stuck with my old routine, excercising for 1 hour or more a day (HIIT and strength training).

Although I still love the workout regimen that I had done pre-pregnancies, having two kids under 3 years and doing a Masters full time limited the time I had for working out.

So I decided to give a second try and bought your book “15 minutes to fit”. After a month of doing your workouts I noticed a significant change in my strength and energy level not to mention the newfound love for exercise that you had inspired in me by keeping your workouts fresh, challenging, unique, and of course short.

After completing the 30 day challenge from your book I decided to become a Zgym member and have not looked back since as I am now a true believer in the fact that 15 minutes, used efficiently and effectively, can make a tremendous difference.

Thank you Zuzka for your motivation and support in my journey to be fit and healthy and be the best mom that I can be to my little ones.

(The pictures that follow are me 8months postpartum – about 6 months after starting your workouts – and 1.5 months at the start of your workouts).

    Diana, fantastic work!! That is incredible progress in only 6 months! May I ask if you also followed Zuzka’s nutrition approach (free meals and workout earned meals)?

    P.S. – I see that smile in your “after photo” ๐Ÿ™‚ You look very happy and proud of yourself, as you should be!

      In terms of nutrition, I try more and more to be conscious of what I eat and when I eat it. For instance, I completely cut out processed sugars from my diet, eating only fruits or substituting sugar with honey or maple syrup when I bake (and even then I try to limit how much honey/syrup I consume). I think this has been the number one nutritional component that has helped me lose so much weight. My body tends to hold on to fat, especially as I’m still breastfeeding, and I noticed that limiting my intake of starchy carbs to times just before or after workouts/outdoor activities with kids helped me as well. I also make it a point not to eat carbs past 6pm if I know I will not be working out. So I guess, my answer is yes, I’m trying to follow Zuzka’s nutritional advice and hope that it becomes a habit. I’m also trying to increase my protein intake at the moment and notices that it has helped a lot in curbing my appetite for carbs.

    Great job Diana for devoting your health to yourself and to be able to take care even more efficiently of your kids. There is no way I want to hear myself say “sorry sweetie, Mommy can’t keep up and therefore can’t do activities with you”
    I always wondered why people say “train”…in French we don’t have a word for “workout”, we say “training”…and wondered what we train for?? if you do races or competition, then I get it.
    When I became a Mom, a light-bulb lit over my head…I train to be ready for life! if my kid falls down, get hurt and I need to carry him/her over a mile, then I need to be ready for this! if they are in danger, I need to be able to sprint to catch them…
    that happens for my dogs, my husband, anything in my life.
    Be ready, and you’ll be happy ๐Ÿ™‚
