How To Get In Shape - Part 1 - Sustainability and Progress Tracking
Fitness | May 05, 2016
I’ve been getting a lot of requests to do a coffee talk about motivation and how to stay on the right track when you’re trying to get into shape. I gave it some serious thought and decided to put together a series of videos where I will talk about the fundamentals everyone should consider when trying to make a difference in their life and fitness. Getting into shape is not as simple as finding your motivation and hoping it’s going to last. You have to be able to ask yourself the right questions and build your new habits based around your answers one step at a time. Today we’ll talk about sustainability and why is it important.
We’re also going to tap into progress tracking. As ZGYM members you already have access to your workout progress tracker which helps you to see improvement in terms of performance. For those of you who are interested in changing your body whether we’re talking about weight loss, fat loss, or muscle gain, is important to track your body composition. The Body Analyzer that I have is the best and most easiest tools to use for your tracking purposes. I was lucky enough to get a 60% discount for my followers so if you decide to get the scale now, you’ll pay only %50 which is a great deal. It will track not only your weight but also your body fat percentage, bone mass, water weight, and muscle mass. Track your progress with a Digital Body Analyzer for 60% off here: http://vpwow.com/zuzkafit

Hi Kristina. I haven’t watched the video yet but I happened to get a pop up in Groupon just the other day that had a body analyzer scale for $34.99. Since I haven’t watched the video though I’m not sure if it’s the same scale or promo. 🙂

I watched the video and I’m not sure if it’s exactly the same scale. 🙂 The platform on Zuzka’s scale is clear and the one on Groupon looks white. Hm. May go with the one that has actually been tested, and endorsed, by a real person. Haha. 😉

I have been trying to sustain your style diet, but I have realized, that I need have more carb. So I take them in the morning and for lunch. I see, I have more energy for workout, I have recovery faster, I can do two high intensity workouts in a day! And with all this I don’t gain fat, if I don’t eat too much of course. 😀
I want to have the same scale. I think it’ll be motivate me more. 🙂
P.S. It’s cool to come back Summer Shred!

I think eating enough carbs is so important and I have them more than post-workout, too. I think a lot of it does have to do with whether or not you eat too much! 🙂

EEEEEE!!! Summer Shred Round 2!!!! Excitement!!!
I have a scale like that, but it looks like it’s just a slightly different model! It was a Christmas gift for my husband, but I love it, too…it’s very handy! I love it!! LOL, we have a kitten who, every morning, will walk over to the scale, stand on it, and look at it. He looks pleased, then gets off. I think he’s developing fitness habits! 😉
My work just got a new thing with our health insurance where we get points that we can spend for free stuff for doing different health related activities. I’m excited, yet disappointed at the same time: because for the workouts, it says that they all have to be at least 30 minutes long. 🙁 Obviously, they’ve never heard of Zuzka’s workouts that totally kick our butts in less than 30 minutes!!

Oooh, I’m so excited about the new scale! I haven’t been able to weigh myself in the past because it leads to disordered thinking in and healthy habits because this is so broken down I think this is something I could actually do 🙂 thank you! Also how long did it take for your skin to start showing improvements? I’ve been trying the whole 30 for about 2 1/2 weeks (planning to modify it so it can be more long term) and would love to see a reduction in my cellulite! What are your ladies thoughts on the whole30? PS the link works on YouTube! http://promo.vanityplanet.com/zuzkafit?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=zuzkafit

thanks for starting coffee talks and these were great tips (especially about finding something sustainable and that works for ourselves..not that I didn’t know it, but it is reassuring to hear it) .
I have a body analyzer too and I especially wanted the model I have as it does provide a rate for visceral body fat (and several other neat things). At the beginning I have tracked every day for 1-2 months to track the daily variations. Now I only check on a monthly basis and make sure it is always on the same day of my hormonal cycle and same time of day which is the hardest to do correctly as the instructions says to not do it upon waking-up, not just after a workout, neither right after a meal (otherwise data are biased)
