How To Get In Shape - Part 1 - Sustainability and Progress Tracking
Fitness | May 05, 2016
I’ve been getting a lot of requests to do a coffee talk about motivation and how to stay on the right track when you’re trying to get into shape. I gave it some serious thought and decided to put together a series of videos where I will talk about the fundamentals everyone should consider when trying to make a difference in their life and fitness. Getting into shape is not as simple as finding your motivation and hoping it’s going to last. You have to be able to ask yourself the right questions and build your new habits based around your answers one step at a time. Today we’ll talk about sustainability and why is it important.
We’re also going to tap into progress tracking. As ZGYM members you already have access to your workout progress tracker which helps you to see improvement in terms of performance. For those of you who are interested in changing your body whether we’re talking about weight loss, fat loss, or muscle gain, is important to track your body composition. The Body Analyzer that I have is the best and most easiest tools to use for your tracking purposes. I was lucky enough to get a 60% discount for my followers so if you decide to get the scale now, you’ll pay only %50 which is a great deal. It will track not only your weight but also your body fat percentage, bone mass, water weight, and muscle mass. Track your progress with a Digital Body Analyzer for 60% off here: http://vpwow.com/zuzkafit

Hi Z,
Just wondering what makes this BIE scale more accurate than any of the hundreds of others out there?
Here in Australia people in the fitness industry rave about DEXA scans being the most accurate reader of body composition. DEXA is an x-ray of your body, so there’s no need for algorithms to give you a reading. From a DEXA I learned I have a way above average amount of bone density and body fat of 19%. Whenever I use a BEI scale, even on the ‘active’ settings it says I’m overweight and the body fat is at least 5% more. Because the algorithms are based on certain averages of the population they don’t always take outliers into considerations (such as having a lot more bone density than normal), which can mess up the overall reading.
That being said, I am still interested in this product because I really respect anything you put your name behind. Like I said though, it would be good to understand why you think this one is the best.

Hey Zuzka, I would like to order this scale but I can not find information about the shipment. Do they ship to Europe and if yes how much will it cost???

That’s a great deal – thank you for sharing the discount, Zuzka! I already have one of those scales and my personal (long term) fitness goal is to always have less than 20% Body Fat and more than 40% Muscle Mass. I’m fairly close but not quite there. Weight on its own has never been that important. I have to say though that either your scale is off or it’s my scale that’s off. In comparison with your stats, I have more muscle mass but that can’t be right!! Yes, I have 5% more body fat so perhaps it’s covering up that muscular look (?)
In any case, as you explained it’s all about getting yourself into a life long habit to constantly improve (or maintain) a fitness routine and a healthy diet. The most important aspect is a person’s attitude and motivation to achieve these goals. Unfortunately, it can fade easily in comparison to other life obligations. This is why it’s so important to have individuals like yourself and other admirable fitness coaches to constantly keep up the fitness conscious attitude.
It’s good to know there are others out there who are even more dedicated than I am. Even at a young age of 10, I used to do bicep curls while listening to Madonna and re-enacting the moves on the aerobics channel just for fun. When you’re an adult, that type of dedication tends to fade. It’s great to know there are others out there that are dedicated for the long haul and wanting to motivate their peers rather than competing. 🙂 Thank you, Zuzka!

Hey Zuzka!
Amazing video, I bought the body analyzer and I cannot wait to get it and start using it. A few weeks ago I asked for your advice to get my butt back into shape after three months of eating amazing Italian food everyday! So far this week I made it my daily goal everyday to complete the workouts. Which I was able to do except for Saturday which funny to say it actually made me feel very miserable, I hate missing workouts! But I made up for it doing Yoga #2, 3 times today (which I love yoga #2) as for diet…. I started out strong, but then disaster struck, when things at work got busy causing me to work through lunch and having another guy buy BLT’s for everyone…on top of that care packages came in with girl scout cookies and lots of other junk food… but even though some days my diet was terrible I still made sure I did every work out. One goal at a time. But this up coming week I’m cracking down, the diet I chose I do enjoy, I took your portion control advice and I enjoy every meal and I feel satisfied at the end of the day… I just need to strong and not let the temptations get to me! Also I cant tell you enough how happy I was I got a response from you on my last comment, it made you even more real and motivates me. You are my biggest inspiration, and I feel confident that I will not fall off the wagon this time. Till next week!
Always

Hey Zuzka!
I am so thankful for your work. You gave me a perfect idea how to keep myself in shape without spending hours in a gym and moreover you inspire to keep up with the routine every day! I was wondering if you grab all the workouts you make daily during the week, except of course “beat your personal best”, or there are some workout you make for yourself and we don’t see it. For exemple you grab all of them in one day for the whole week and then, apart from that, you make your personal training out of the camera?
Thank you for your answer in advance!

Hi Liza, I shoot one workout a day and I don’t have time for additional training because I’m running a business. This website, my social media and all the products that I’ve been working on require a lot of time and effort on my part. What I do differently from the workout schedule is that I do high intensity workouts every day when I try to get ahead with my videos when Im getting ready for a trip. The only training that you can’t see is when I practice my skills, but that I share on my Instagram for the most part. I wish I had more time to work on my strength and stretching but I just simply don’t.

Thank you so much for your reply! Yes of course I understand. However I did not mean a workout video every day, I meant some kind of homework like you did with the lifted butt series. It was just a suggestion, you do a lot of work already and give us a plenty of useful information every single day! Thank you for that!

Zuzka- I just got my body analyzer today. Do you set yours for female or athletic female? Certainly we don’t workout 12 hours a week but if you’re not considered athletic I don’t know who is! I had mine set for Female and it said my body fat was 19%. My husband said he would consider me athletic so I reset it and it said my body fat was 14.5%. I’m confused why changing that setting made my body fat different.

ok went back and answered my own question by watching the video again. Except there is no way I have less body fat and more muscle mass than you.

Zuzka I wonder how the body analyzer derives it’s stats for those with breast augmentation (like me)?
