How To Get Rid Of Flabby Arms
Fitness | June 02, 2014
I’ve been reading a lot of comments from women asking me how to get rid off the flab on their arms. Do I have to lose weight, do more cardio, or lift weights? Is there some complicated formula that I need to know in order to get my arms tight and lean? Not really. It’s actually quite simple when it comes to making your arms toned and getting rid off the giggle. The three major muscle groups in your upper arm are biceps, triceps, and your shoulder muscles. What makes a difference between flabby and tight arms is your tricep muscles. If you start doing at least the basic exercises to build and strengthen those muscles in the back of your upper arms, you’ll see a huge difference. I did this video to show you some of the best exercises for your triceps so that you can try them at home.
The key is in building lean muscles, because that’s what makes your body solid. If you won’t train your muscles, you will be soft and your arms and who knows what else on your body is going to look like a jelly. The best and the fastest way to tighten everything up is through intense training. It could be lifting weights that are heavy or working out with medium size weights or even just your own bodyweight at a high intensity. As long as it feels hard and your muscles are tensing a lot during the workout, you are on the right path.
Next time we can talk about whether or not you’ll get big bulky arms if you start lifting heavy weights, because that seems like a hot topic and some of you have been asking me what’s my perspective.
Best,
Z.

Has anyone got any tips on building up tricep strength when you have snapping tendons?

Can you please do the next series for the arms? Like you did with the abs and butt. Incorporate resistance band and dumbbells if possible? Thanks! 🙂

Pullups and overhead presses are a really nice combo too :).

Hi Zuzka, I also agree with the other comments posted. Can you please do an arm series, many of us would like to build the strength in our arms. The zwows and zshreds are amazing but I feel they should incorporate more arm work… Thanks,

I think toning up arms are all incorporated in training with weights like in ZShred and other weights training programs.Just like when doing working for 6 pack abs with weights, it tones up your core, abs and arms as well as you’re doing weights in the workout. My observation is one with a 6 packs abs are always comes with very define masculine arms.So when one does weight training, cardio w/o and clean diet, will see good results.

I love that you’re so Lorna Jane obsessed now. I am the same way. I basically bought a whole new workout wardrobe comprised of LJ. The clothes are so cute and with such a great message it makes you want to wear them and makes you want to workout too!
