ZWOW #1

Hi guys,

Here’s the new version of ZWOW #1.  I’d like to re-shoot all the ZWOW’s, but it’s going to be a lot of work, and I rather prefer to focus my time and energy on the new and more exciting content. That said, I did the first round to get you started and it’s going to be up to y0u to finish the additional two rounds on your own. Try to keep the same pace. This is a very challenging bodyweight workout,  and this week we’ve done already 3 intense workouts, so even if you just do that one round with me,  and some stretching… it’s probably going to be enough for today. Have fun!

 

 Workout Breakdown:

1. Dive Bombers x 10
2. Burpees x 5
3. Squat Leg Lift x 20/20
4. Burpees x5
5. Side Plank Lift x 10/10
6. Burpees x 5
7. Pistol Squat 10/10 reps
8. Burpees x 5 reps

    Hi Tammy, I hope you don’t mind me adding in here, but your story chimed with me too. I also had real trouble shifting weight and although felt fit ‘underneath’ couldn’t seem to get back into my pre-pregnancy clothes no matter what. I think Zuzka actually suggested in another post somewhere that stress can hinder your weight loss and I’ve read a few more articles on the subject. Stress basically releases cortisol, which can cause your body to hang on to weight – especially around the middle (very simplified explanation). I now spend a lot of time thinking about what I eat, I’ve cut out most sugary carbs, but also my stress levels and I am only just beginning to see results and I have been working out hard for years. The progress has been very slow, but with me a big factor has been stress. Hope this helps x

    Just did this with 5 Minute workout #42. This is SUCH A tough workout. I did it 3x’s each. I’ve noticed my flexibility has stunk lately- I am assuming this is because of age (36!) but seriously, I used to be so flexible. This year, I’ve had hamstring pain (i think I pulled it in january), which is not painful anymore, but has resulted in tight hamstrings- all the time! And I stretch EVERY night. Now for the past week my lower back is bothering me. I have done the postural therapy back workout and will continue to do so hoping it makes it better. It felt tight this whole workout. I have never felt my lower back straining when I’ve done burpees- but today I did. It also made it difficult to do full pistols, so I tried to do 5 full on each leg. I’m frustrated with my body!!!!

    Hi Zu and friends. Today I am not in mood to do workouts! 🙂 This is rare but do happens! Feeling tired and bored….that is fine, anyways today is rest day. I did one round in 5:27. See u all, take care.

    This is a hard one, but done 3 rounds in 20 minutes, which I am proud of, especially in this heat. I am visiting my family in Prague and yesterday it was 39°C.. huh 🙂 Have a great Sunday all!

    Hi Zu, workout done! I did this one today because I was in need of a good workout. In July 2015 I did only one round in 5:27, today one round I did in 5:08. My time for 3 rounds-16:24. I have improved a lot in burpees and now I can jump directly into squat when powering up. I am happy! See you, take care.

    I HATE when she only does one round! I would prefer if you did all three rounds with me because every time I watch this Zwow I feel like I only do one round at your pace and then the other two are just crap!

      You have to learn how to push yourself 🙂 no I get it trust me. I have tons of full length routines in the ZGYM.
