Summer Dress and Boots

I don’t like to experiment too much when it comes to my wardrobe and I tent to wear pretty much the same style of clothes ever since my mom stopped buying clothes for me. Thank god that’s over… I still remember how much my best friend and I have suffered whenever our moms dressed us up for school. I mean common, I know we were just kids in an elementary school, but that’s probably the worse place and time to be making fun of. When you’re an adult, the pressure is pretty much gone because no one will let you and your friends know that your khaki’s are hideous. Unless you post a selfie on your social media of course. Only then you can expect an honest opinion of your peers.
Anyways, so I decided to change it up a little and dress like a girl for once. I never wear dress. I mean never. Maybe twice or three times a year if I go out for fancy dinner and that’s it. Skirt? Forget it. I own one skirt, wore it once and I will never wear it again, but it’s still in my closet for some reason. I just don’t feel comfortable in typical girly clothes. That’s why I couldn’t go all the way girly and instead of heels or sandals, I decided to wear boots.
Do you still remember what were your parents making you wear as a kid? What was the thing you despised the most? For me it was a flower pattern scarf that I had to wear on my head and it was tied under my chin. It made me look like a baby grandma. Today of course I would go AWWWWW if I saw that scarf again, and my eyes would probably tear up as I would be reminded of my childhood.

I agree with the opinion, you can wear anything and look great, as well as set the trend! It’s wonderful to be young. I am 55, in shape, but just because I can fit into a garment doesn’t mean it gives me license to wear it!

Cute dress. I think a pair of basic flip flops would also work well here – that way, you’re not ‘too dressy’ but you keep the look very summery and beachy. Just a thought.

One time I jumped off a monkey bar at a playground and hurt my foot. I asked my mom to get me some crutches since I thought they were cool looking (plus hoping to get some sympathy points from my peers & teachers), but my mom went and got me a cane. Not cool…
