Summer Dress and Boots
Fashion & Beauty | June 20, 2014
I don’t like to experiment too much when it comes to my wardrobe and I tent to wear pretty much the same style of clothes ever since my mom stopped buying clothes for me. Thank god that’s over… I still remember how much my best friend and I have suffered whenever our moms dressed us up for school. I mean common, I know we were just kids in an elementary school, but that’s probably the worse place and time to be making fun of. When you’re an adult, the pressure is pretty much gone because no one will let you and your friends know that your khaki’s are hideous. Unless you post a selfie on your social media of course. Only then you can expect an honest opinion of your peers.
Anyways, so I decided to change it up a little and dress like a girl for once. I never wear dress. I mean never. Maybe twice or three times a year if I go out for fancy dinner and that’s it. Skirt? Forget it. I own one skirt, wore it once and I will never wear it again, but it’s still in my closet for some reason. I just don’t feel comfortable in typical girly clothes. That’s why I couldn’t go all the way girly and instead of heels or sandals, I decided to wear boots.
Do you still remember what were your parents making you wear as a kid? What was the thing you despised the most? For me it was a flower pattern scarf that I had to wear on my head and it was tied under my chin. It made me look like a baby grandma. Today of course I would go AWWWWW if I saw that scarf again, and my eyes would probably tear up as I would be reminded of my childhood.

Oh no from respected fitness blog to fashion blog…not sure I like this mix up….

And I love this, cause it is about Zuzka, it si her personal blog… and one post about dress does not change anything Jesus Christ!

Agreed Kristina. Besides anyone who has been following Zee since the Bodyrock days knows that a fashion post here and there is par for the course.

Anybody who is serious about fitness should not be following bodyrock as it was merely soft porn under the guise of fitness. Do you know Jesus Christ? Because if you did I can assure you that you would not use His name so loosely.

so… what are you doing here? He who is without sin among you, let him be the first to throw a stone at her

I think it is great to see that Zuzka is not only fitness person but still a “girl/woman” with everyday problems 😉
This dress is really nice and Zuzka, you look great (as always). 😉

Oh, Zuzi, you’re too cute! I love getting dressed up now, wearing heels and dresses and jewelry – all things girly. Once upon a time, however, this was most definitely not the case.
I recall clenching every muscle in my little body as my mother secured a dress on me for a picture. I held myself rigid out of pure rage; I did not want that thing on me!
There was also a pair of pretty floral print leggings, which I decided (to my mother’s chagrin – I heard it for this later) were “crappy” and ugly, and thus, a great pair to go sliding down dirt hills. I guess I despised that particular garment so much that I had to destroy them!

Boots look good with a dress. Heels are nutty and meant to hobble women.
I had lots of things I was forced to wear. These green pant, a handed down suit that was too short and things my Aunts and Mom made for Christmases.

It looks nice on you (especially the boots), but I am totally on your side… I Never dress up! Don’t even have any clothes to dress up! I feel most comfortable in workout- or outdoorclothes! Ot my PJs for that matter ^^
My mom tried for so long to make a girl out of me, tight red shirts, and all kinds of skirts… I hated that! And shoes… what’s the point of having an infinite number of shoes, if one for the gym, and one for walking and hiking are totally sufficient?! 😀

Zuzka you look amazing. In the 3 years i have followed you, this is the second time i see you in a dress. I remember you wore a black cocktail dress for New Years like 3 years ago, when you were with Freddy. Times have changed and dress or no dress you shine and look so much more calm in yourself, because you are around good energy. I myself laughed a lot when you wrote about the skirt thing, cause im the same, however some how i looked in my closet and actually have 10 skirts…. I never have used.. Think i will give it away to a second hand shop that can make some money on it:) Have an amazing weekend, Im going to Sweden in a summer cabin away from the city of Copenhagen:) Love nature and be active outside.
