Watch For a Cause

I was recently introduced to this great watch company, 1:Face and I wanted to share it with you guys. I love to support companies that stand for a cause and this one is great because they actually support nine causes (cancer, hunger, breast cancer, clean water, disaster relief, environment, AIDS, education, and animal rights) and each cause has a specific metric that tells you exactly what your purchase does. For instance, 1 watch for AIDS helps provide treatment for 8 patients. The watches are really affordable too, this one is only $40…
The thicker, chunky, “boyfriend” style watches are really popular right now. I think it looks a lot like the kettlebell wrist protectors I wear.
It’s cool because the face of it is a mirror so I can check my eye mascara after a workout to make sure it’s not running all over my face 🙂
The watch that I picked out is the one that supports 8 cancer patients. Do you feel more proud wearing a product that supports a good cause, like Tom’s shoes or 1:Face?

Wow! Thanks for introducing us to this product!!! There are several causes they support that I’d feel good supporting with a purchase! My niece is graduating this year and I think I may get her one for a gift!!

Thanks for sharing. I really like the concept of charitable consumerism. I hope more companies start to do this. I would pick the black one as that cause is personally meaningful for me. Unfortunately my mom died of cancer two years ago.
As for the poverty and hunger one; I just watched a TedTalk last night that has totally changed my perspective on the effectiveness of charities in developing countries. I guess giving something is better than doing nothing, but it doesn’t get to the root of the problem. Btw is it hard for you to keep your abs toned. I had a perfectly tone abs and now I just can see them while I’m working out and after they disappear. A nice flat belly but I would like to have my six pack all the time. I did something wrong?

Thanks for sharing Zuzka! I love this idea, it’s so awesome. It’s such a direction for change. Plus, you can get more than one watch to rotate colors and causes. I might have a watch collection soon 😀
