Description
The Upper Body and Abs Shred Program is a progressive 4 week long program. As the name implies, we’ll be focusing on building strength in our arms, back, chest and core. This program is perfect for any fitness level! Because this program is progressive, the first week will be focusing on building a solid foundation from which we will build on. As we move from week to week, the workouts will become more and more intense – either through the means of heavier weights, more reps or advanced exercises.
One of the elements you’ll notice about this program is that we’re really not taking any “rest” days. I know what you’re probably thinking – “What?? No rest days?!” But trust me, we’ll be switching things up day to day to really confuse our muscles so that we’re not consistently burning out the same muscle groups. Plus, the more you move, the more it’ll help with any soreness or overall tightness you may experience throughout the program.
We have to constantly push our bodies to new limits otherwise we plateau. The whole goal of this program is to improve your overall strength and conditioning, boost your metabolism and burn fat! I recommend taking measurements, before and after photos and keeping track of your reps and time to complete the daily workout. It’s always fun to see progress!
The equipment needed for this program is: medium dumbbells (8-12lbs), sliders, kettlebell, stability ball, pull-up bar, pull-up assist band, and yoga blocks. If you don’t have any of the equipment, I show variations and modifications for everything so you’ll still be able to complete every workout!
