5 minute Competition Workout #2
Fitness | December 05, 2013
We have missed the last week, because Thanksgiving messed up our schedule and we had to work on the front room to make it photo and video friendly. You can see, in one of our latest vlogs, how Jesse and his brother were working on the walls making them black. Now that we have it all done, we’re ready to do these workouts for you every week, so leave your excuses behind, and try this new 5 minute workout. Oh and it’s a competition so push yourself hard to beat me!
Workout Breakdown:
One Leg hip thrust 10 reps alternating legs
Knee tucks 10 reps
3 surfer jumps x 5sets
Set your timer for a 5 minute count down and complete as many rounds as you can before the time is up.
This is an awesome workout for those day, when you don’t have time or don’t feel like doing a longer workout. It’s a routine that will help you to raise your heart rate and charge you with energy while helping you to maintain your fitness level. Remember that if you don’t use it, you’ll lose it. That is true with strength, flexibility, endurance, and all around fitness. Therefore it is always wise to tell yourself “I feel lazy, so I am going to do my 5 minute workout” instead of “I feel lazy, so I am not going to move today at all”. I am encouraging you to do at least some stretching, just MOVE!
Best,
Zuzka

P.S.S. Jesse is absolutely amazing for fixing the room, shooting this video, and this picture that I like very much. THANK YOU! 🙂 I love you.

Another great short, but intense, workout! I managed to get through 4 rounds+1 side of 10 hip thrusts but I went ahead and finished the round and one more so my total time was 5 1/2 minutes. Thanks for providing these workouts in addition to your ZGYM! They really come in handy as little pick-me-ups in the middle of a stressful day.
Great job on the room, Jesse! Looks great 🙂

Longest, most painful, most wonderful 5 minutes of my life. Kept up with you Zuz at 4 2/3 rounds. I’m pretty sure if I’d had to talk aloud I wouldn’t have done the same. Thanks for a killer workout (once again). 🙂

Thanks so much for sharing these awesome short workouts. I sometime feel like I just don’t have enough time in the day to workout so these are great. I would love to see a video on workouts that you can do on your breaks at work.. Something that you would not be sweating terribly but still get an effective workout. I sit at a desk all day and I normally walk on my breaks and lunch but would love to see a video of some ideas. Thanks so much!

Zuzka-
I’m loving your 5-minute challenges. It never ceases to amaze me just how much hard work and sweat can be accomplished in ONLY FIVE minutes! These challenges totally obliterate any excuses about not having enough time to workout. Please keep these mini workouts coming!
