5 Minute Hotel Room Workout
Fitness | November 12, 2013
If you really want to get in shape or keep yourself at the same level of fitness that you had to work hard for, don’t wait for the perfect conditions to be active. This 5 minute hotel room workout is a great example of a routine that will save you time and can be done in tiny space such as a hotel room, living room, or bathroom. It’s not about the space, it’s about how you use it. Once you free your mind of the rigid believes that you need to have a lot of space or a gym membership, then you will truly be in control of your fitness. That’s what these workouts are all about.
This is a real time workout video, and it’s only 5 minutes long so you can play it on your device anywhere you go and do this workout with me. There are only 4 simple moves, however the intensity is going to be high. If your goal is to lose weight and burn a lot of calories with your workout, then you have to push yourself really hard. If you can do that, then 5 minutes a day can get your far. That said you have to also pick the right exercises. For example 5 minutes of crunches or bicycles is not going to do as much even if you sprint through it. Now try these jump tucks with dive bombers and now we’re talking. I have to admit that those 2 minutes and 30 seconds before I changed the moves seemed a lot longer and I was getting seriously tired.
So this workout is 3 jump tucks followed by 3 dive bomber push ups and you will repeat as many times as you can for 2 minutes and 30 seconds. Then you will change it up a little for the remaining 2 minutes and 30 seconds and you will be doing 3 jump lunges followed by 3 one leg dive bomber push ups. Try it with a friend and see who can do more rounds. Once you ad a friendly competition to your routines, you’ll find yourself more passionate about the intensity and you’ll push yourself the way you should.
Good luck and have fun with your training!

P.S. If you do have more time and you are serious about your training, then make sure to join my ZGym and get on a consistent schedule. We have already over 50 workouts in the library and we’re adding new ones each week. I started including a yoga workout each week as well so that you have more variety and stretching.

I was wondering if you can do more workouts for hotels without using any equipment or just workouts using our own bodyweight. I’m a flight attendant and I would love to see more workouts I can do in my room. Thank you!!

I did this 5 minute as a killler cardio bonus after 31:46 min of Hotel Room Workout #2 From Idaho ( 6.11.13) + 5 Minute Competition Workout #1 (19.11.13). It was very hard! After 2 first workouts I could barely do 1 leg dive bombers. Will have to practice more! Thank you! Saved this workout as cardio bonus.
