Today I’m using this really cool interval timer app Seconds Pro on my phone. As you can see in the video, Β the app has the capability to talk out loud and lead you through the workout, letting you know what exercise comes next. You can also set it to a simple beep for each interval and you can add your own music! This way you can keep your HIIT, Circuit, Tabata, and custom workouts and workout breakdowns in your phone which is really handy when traveling and your phone is the only thing you have always with you. The app is free to download and try all the features but if you want to save/import or share timers, you’ll need to make a one time purchase.

    Zuzka, will I still get results only doing your workouts 3-4 days a week? I have a work schedule that makes it very difficult to do any more than that. Thanks!

    I love Seconds Pro, I’ve been using it for a few years now and I have over 80 workouts stored in it! It’s easy to use and you can customise each workout to suit your needs. Thank you Z for another awesome workout.

    Loved this workout, looks like a great app! I was worried it would beep on the video as this scares my big baby of a doberman, so was very relieved that it just spoke πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

    This was amazing! I LOVED the fact that I could look up at the computer (when I wasn’t cursing your name) and see how much time is left. If you could put that timer in the corner of the video all the time, that would be great!

    The only things I would change are:
    It’s a little hard to hear the timer talk and it tells you what to do AFTER it has already started timing. In a workout like this one where you only have 25 seconds to a) figure out what the heck you’re doing if you’re not familiar with the exercise and b) hear what the timer says, it seems like you’re wasting some precious seconds of exercising. Obviously the 2nd time through was much better since I could remember what we were doing.

    LOVING this Summer Shred Series. Keep these brutal workouts coming!

      I had the same feeling… I would add a few seconds to the timer as when you listen you don’t move. During my warmup I do all moves at least twice to get the feel of it and memorize.

    Hi Zuzka ! I really enjoyed this one, my abs were on fire all along πŸ˜€
    I got really sick on Monday, to Wednesday because of stress (crazy) … I had an exam and I get really really stressed out and it literally makes me sick (that’s how much I’m stressed out). So I just did the first ZShred yesterday πŸ™ (I LIKED IT A LOT BTW :D) !!! I still have an oral exam next Wednesday but I’m trying really hard to manage my stress πŸ™‚ so hopefully I can catch my late !

    But actually I’m really sad because anyway I know that next week I’m gonna have to stop the ZGym for at least two months because I’m going through surgery … nothing serious, it was my choice and it’s a “comfort” kind of surgery … but still, last summer it was the same thing because I cut my foot tendon, and I couldn’t even walk for two month, I had to stay in bed (how crazy haha) and I missed the ZGym so much !!! So I know how hard it’s gonna be … anyway, I’ll try to focus on other things, like on my studies and my work, but you can imagine how sad I am not to workout even just a day, when I’ve been following you for so long every day !!! Especially during summer time πŸ™ !

    But be prepare for my return in august because I’m gonna have A LOT of energy to spend πŸ˜€ !!! For now, I’m gonna enjoy the rest of this week and trying to push at my max next week so I’m leaving so exhausted I’ll have to sleep during these two months to recover hahaha πŸ˜€ thanks Zuzka for these amazing workouts, I know I already told you but you’re the BEST !!!!

      Manon I am gonna miss you in the Zgym. Your comments are always so funny and cheerful πŸ™‚ You remind me of everyone’s best friend! I hope you still drop in to comment. I know how it feels to have to sit out a little while but found out that I could NOT do it. I was supposed to take a week off for cataract surgery but really I ended up only taking off one day and then I started sneaking in beginner series workouts and then some cardio and just tried to at least do something…. so I know it will be hard for you to stay away. We wish you a speedy recovery and can’t wait until you are back. I’m sure you will have plenty of fun and animated comments for us! Xoxoxo

      I been through the same thing last autumn about 2 months couldn’t workout, but the body bounces back and the muscles react very fast when you start again! Meditation and listening to positive affirmations in those 20-30 mins that used to be dedicated to my workout really helped as well.
